Well this hotel has new owners so it will soon be known as Oswald House. The new owners are keeping their dog friendly approch. They have a new chef who started today. Could not resist trying their food. Their fish n chips and mac n cheese was very good. Its our first meal there and it wont be the last. The new owners are very nice Dougie was in today and all the staff were very welcoming. I cant wait till the new refurb starts to unfold. But a nice start to this new venture.

I was at a funeral reception tea  ,  very respectful   staff were excellent  hope to return again to sample the menu

After an extended period of neglect it appears that the hotel is undergoing regeneration. It is still early days, but the initial appearances are encouraging. There is still a long way to go but, if the new owners of this venerable hotel are committed to the long haul, it could be excellent
