We spent the afternoon there. What a great place for food Guinness and service. The owner has a great way of welcoming you. We had the beef and great desert. A good stop for a lunch or socialising and relaxing . Thank you for keeping you standards up. Chris.
Popular local pub, loyalty supported by the immediate community. Food was very good. I had turkey, which was very tasty, and the accompanying vegetables were fresh and flavorsome. The inside decor is old fashioned, which was fine, that's the style of the pub. Upstairs the seating in part was torn and the lighting was a mix of styles. It was my first time there, following on from a funeral and I have to say the service by the staff was fast, friendly and attentive. They gave the pub it's character. I believe on a fine day the outside seating area is very popular and people flock here for the atmosphere.
Nice food. Nice pint. Friendly, helpful, polite staff. Great atmosphere for the middle of a Saturday afternoon. BUT the toilets are filthy smelly and disgusting and long overdue an overhaul because they are the same now as they had been 20 years ago.Food: 3/5
The carvery paired with a glass a milk is a perfect cure to the start day. Turkey was lovely and even though the milk was closer to room temperature to freezing it still tasted a treat. However, mushy peas with a carvery is blasphemy and should be discontinued. Lovely handsome young man waiter. 5/5
A dated locals bar, but not without it's charm. Not a place where you'd go to admire the decor or aesthetics. Very much a locals pub. Solid &reliable. I wouldn't be travelling from town to visit it specially.Service: 3/5
One of the best in Dublin. I love taking my aunt here for lunch. They make it personal by making a fuss of her, and at this stage know her tipple. The beef is to die for, slow-cooker over night. Top marksFood: 5/5
This is a nice enough little place with 3 different areas to chose from. The bar, the lounge, and the upstairs. The drink was fine and the service was very good. I dont think much of the decor and its quiet dingy and dark. The staff are very friendly and although we didn't have any food, the people around us eating seemed to enjoy theirs. Even though it was fairly empty the atmosphere seemed to be fairly lively. I will go back soon for food and maybe even hang around for some music.
Excellent burgers, excellent guiness and excellent service! I enjoyed and would definitely go back!
Enjoyed my lunch immensely. Great size portions. Decor fine and spotlessly clean. Staff chatty and friendly while also doing a great job.Food: 4/5
very pleasant nothing fancy just good plain food. and staff excellent once you you get past bar men. They are pretty grumpy and unwelcoming. But don't let this put you off food very nice. And Kieran a excellent waiter. I would return again by the back entrance so I avoid grumpy bar men.
