Roast dinner not worth the cash , raw veg , meat lucky dip on how well cooked service was slow, blunt knifes. I would find one of the places near by that is far better for roast. My son said burger is ok but average. Such a shame as location is good
Went for a lunch on a Friday afternoon. We were welcomed by a very friendly staff member who looked after us whilst having our meal. We were really surprised how reasonably priced the food was and lots of gluten free options! The food was exceptional and the portions were of a really good size too! A lighter/smaller portions available for nearly half the price and still good size portions! Highly recommended!
Enjoyed a great breakfast so tried the evening menu. Warm and friendly welcome and comfortable seats and table. Crayfish starter looked incrediblenand was delicious. Mains came out quickly after. Chicken burgers was huge! Eton mess for dessert was so good I wanted another. With drinks and tips for 2 under £90 and well worth it. Superb attentive service and an atmosphere like how pubs used to be! Definitely recommend
Restaurant review only.nnThe food was ok. My partner had mac and cheese served in a deep soup bowl for £15. It tasted ok but the presentation in the deep soup bowl was not good. It was missing a crispy topping that was stated on the menu, think it was the bacon.nnI had the george burger £16.50. The burger and chips themselves were absolutely lovely however missing a few items other plate that were advertised with this meal; missing beef tomato, baby gem lettuce and the coleslaw! I had to ask where is my coleslaw, the reply was we've added a side salad to replace it a very very small serving of an ordinarynlettuce and a couple of baby tomatoes. I didn't notice that the beef tomato was also missing at the time it was being served to me.nnSo, food was ok but not as advertised
Only stopped for a meal, and it was fantastic. Great service, good food, and atmosphere. We will be back
