We just came to The Gate for drinks after dinner but loved the vibe, felt like sn underground bar, the drinks were amazing and was pleasantly surprised by an absolutely gorgeous glass of wine. Whisky and cocktails were great. Service was perfect as well. Highly recommended!Food: 4/5
I visited this bar during my visit in Glasgow since it was close to my airbnb, and I had a good experience. I ordered a whisky sour, which was expertly crafted and absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding—friendly and attentive. The waiter took the time helping me make the perfect choice. Overall, it was a great find, and I’m happy to give it a top rating!
Our AirBnb is nearby and I don't know why we didn't get here until our last night in Glasgow. The Gate is a wonderful bar. Very friendly staff and warm neighborhood vibe. Great cocktails and whisky and sandwiches. Recommended.Food: 5/5
This place was so fun! My search for eggnog all over Glasgow finally brought me here and it was worth the effort. The bartender, Allister, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. The cocktails were all delicious, the whiskey was plentiful, and they even had quality sipping tequila. I only had some olive nibbles, but would try the cheese board next time. Highly recommend this pub!
Always found the cocktails to be yummy, reliable place to go before a concert @ barrowlands. Only gripe I’ve had is the service can be a bit slow, but it wouldn’t put me off coming back!Food: 4/5

What a pub. The service is exquisite - the staff clearly care about what they’re doing here and will chat away to you, which is lovely. The drinks are incredible - the cocktails are really well thought out and there’s a decent range behind the bar. The cheese toastie was a wonderful surprise. They also do good pop-ups too, which I’d like to visit. All in all - hidden gem. Please visit!
Warm Scottish welcome to this quirky beautifully decorated bar opposite the iconic barrow lands venue . Service outstanding , beers competitively priced a hidden gem behind the yellow door, walk on through you won’t be disappointed .Food: 5/5
Have been here a few times and always had a good time. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Great list of drinks, something to suit everyone. Cocktails can change so you never know what you will be surprised with. They will work with you to suit your needs too. Had a couple of toasties when I was there and they hit the spot. They do bingo events which I highly recommend too. Overall a hidden gem in Glasgow and well worth a visit.
Honestly spectacular, great selection of ale. Taosties were far better than a toastie has any business being and the service was impeccable. I'll definitely be back.
