Fantastic food, great service. This place never fails to impress us. Today we had a vegan nut roast wellington and a mixed roast. Absolutely delicious.
Stopped in on the way to Bude after a short detour from the M5 and had a wonderful family meal. The welcome and service was warm, friendly and menu extensive with tons of choice for all. We had pepperoni sourdough pizza, Thai fishcakes, a meaty homemade burger with thick cut local bacon and a pasta. The food was made to order fresh and was delish. Not a scrap left on any plate. Well worth a quick detour off the M5 to enjoy a great meal. Well done team, you ensured we were well fed and looked after, thank you
We're a vegan couple with a dog and this place ROCKS on all accounts! We can't wait to come back in an evening and try the Smokey Squash Sausage & Vegan Meatball Calzone! Perfectly kept local real ale too. Heavenly and eager to please! Update:added photo of Calzone. IT WAS DELICIOUS!
The food and drink and service were all acceptable. The price of these however did not match what was served, the burgers which were already expensive ranging from 12.95 to 19.95 did not come with chips which were an additional 3.50, when served my immediate thought was that it was sub par, while I was expecting a meal that had plenty of effort put into it and stood out, I was served a very meager burger and a rather small portion of from the bag chips, I would have paid half of that and still be disappointed. While this pub might look quaint and appealing from the outside it was a total let down. I want to be sure the owners know this was at no fault of the waiting staff and is entirely aimed at them.
We have been to the Gardeners Arms many times and the Staff are very Friendly and helpful , The food is excellent and plenty of Choice I had the Liver Superb .. we went two weeks ago for my wife’s Birthday had a lovely Meal and a special Pudding with Candle !! Our waitress Katie was very friendly Polite and could not of done anymore for us a pleasure to talk to her and be looked after so well , Thank you Katie and the other Staff , we will be back again to try the Sunday Roasts with friends soon , Excellent Thank you Paul ,
Nice food but I think we were placed in a 'cafe' style area which seemed out of place. The food however was very nice. I had the sausage and mash and each sausage 3 was of a different filling, all good and plenty to fill a hungry belly.
Lovely little pub! Good parking, with electric chargers, incl Tesla - and it's very friendly inside. Pretty good menu, with a broad range of dishes. Nice layout inside, lots of spaces. Very dog-friendly, if you have canines.
Fantastic food, probably one of the best homemade pies I've had! Relaxed atmosphere, great staff, and they're dog friendly. We will definitely be back.
Excellent! Delicious roast dinners. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Our third visit but first Sunday roast, every visit has been fabulous. Highly recommended.
Really good food ,lovely clean pub. Service was excellent and we loved the fact the big white dog showed us into the pub from the car park.
