Found this place as a freind has moved up the road, On entrance, the staff are very friendly and helpful, we was seated quickly as it was a friday at 5 and not to busy, the place is very clean and tidy, Food was delivered quickly, approx 15 mins and tasted lovely, chicken stack and gammon Price is good for now a days for a remote pub/restaurant, £14 for gammon and £13 for stack. Deffeintly recommend if your passing,

We had an excellent lunch and went back the next day for dinner. Can recommend the steak and ale pie stuffed with meat and the rump steak with huge onion rings. Night bar staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely go back.Food: 5/5
Nice, easily accessible pub. Nice layout, with lots of quite areas to sit. Good amount of parking space and good pub garden. Quick, friendly and knowledgeable service. Nice meals and my husband said his steak was perfectly cooked!Food: 4/5

Good selection of drinks, didn't eat as was just having a couple of Guinness's for St. Patrick's Day, which were very nice, from what l saw food looked and smelt very good. Staff very polite a professional, ample parking, but watch out when you leave and pull out onto main road, drivers around that way don't hang about, would definitely use again when in area.
On arrival we were ignored for around 5 minutes when 3 staff members were just standing behind the bar. Starters arrived before we were given any cutlery. The garlic ciabatta was over cooked and unpleasant. Ordered another round of drinks which were forgotten about. The mains arrived they were good size portions but no check back from staff. Once these were taken away we weren’t offered a dessert menu and nobody came to offer anything else. Sat there for a good 15 mins so got up and paid the bill and left. Very disappointed as the pub wasn’t very busy for the amount of staff that were on felt like we were forgotten about.
Really great country pub. I recently visited as part of a 20 person table. The food was fantastic, the staff were exceptional and the pub it self was beautiful. Every person in the group of 20 enjoyed their time at the hobnails.
We stopped here on the way back from Cotswold,unfortunately, that wasn't the best choice. On the arrival, we have been asked if we had the reservation. I said no, and the lady told us that she needed the table back by 5pm.She grabbed the menu and walked away without saying anything... It was four of us. I've ordered Sunday roast, and the redt of the family had stakes and burgers. My Sunday roast was not a fresh meal by far.I was served what they had left over from earlier that day.I was given 2 roast and 2 baby potato's, yorkshier pudding which was saggy and cold,cheese cauliflower and vegetables which were full of water you could see the water in the diash.After bringing this to their attention, I was told:"The meat is fresh...and the vegetables probably were kept in the water for too long, but he gets me...?" Stakes and burgers were nice ,I was glad that the rest of the family didn't leave hungry. If you are thinking of going there, please make sure you keep away from Sunday roast as I am sure it was " Saturday roast." Would we come back - definitely no!
Had a starter for a quick lunch which was delicious. Friendly staff who were very attentive. Would definitely recommend.
