What a fantastic place, wood burner, cheap food, great choice of cheap drinks. We stayed in the wetherspoons hotel. Amazing value right in the city centre, 5 min walk from Train station. Clean, warm, very quite. Friendly staff.

We stayed at the hotel and it was honestly one of the best rooms we’ve had and for less then half the price. Parking is a slight issue as you need to pay the night before. Attached spoons was nice but the family near us were a tad loud and rude.

Stayed in hotel, room's are massive and very well kept.Ate in the pub,the poached egg's for breakfast are .The staff from reception all the way to house keeping deserve 10/10  Can not fault the length's they will go 

The hotel is very good, clean, the rooms are big and the price is great. If you could pick it up and move the whole place to a more attractive town is would be perfect. But then it would also be double the price. Worth a visit and a good base to explore the lake district.

Such a lovely place to stay from the moment we got here the service is amazing, would love to thank Danielle for helping us and greeting us when we got here and helping us with anything we needed. Lovely and clean hotel and delicious food.

A sensational hotel.  Very nice service, good prices and a great pub in the building.  Clean and spacious well-equipped rooms.  I really recommend.

Great service by the staff. Fast check in and rooms very clean. Packed at night but Rob the doorman found us a table when told we were staying there. Absolutely great guy. Should get a pay rise. 

Wonderful weekend was very surprised at how nice the room was and reception staff couldn't be more helpful would stay here again no problem
