The Crofters at Holbeck

Live locally and been in plenty of times for food but never left a review. This time myself and my wife visited on a Saturday afternoon for drinks and sat in the lounge bar area away from the restaurant. Bar area was busy with Rugby fans which made for a good atmosphere. Good choice of beers and had had an enjoyable afternoon. Bar staff were friendly and service was good. Our kids joined us later on and enjoyed a few games of pools and said d they enjoyed themselves so gives me and the wife an excuse for another afternoon in the pub in the future.

In over 40 years that I have lived in Barrow I had never been to Crofters until a recent Wedding Reception. Crofters was a great venue for the Reception and the Food was exceptionally nice. The staff were lovely and friendly and the day was a fantastic success. I will be sure to visit Crofters again for some Food and a Drink

Stayed in the hms sovereign for 2 nights… Lovely clean rooms, very comfy bed… Staff are lovely, Gill is a lovely woman well worth the price Phil & Lorna Food & drinks: Wow what can I say food is absolutely amazing

Had lasagna for dinner today with garlic bread I opted for chips instead of salad & it was amazing best lasagna I've had in Cumbria! Homemade chips were really nice, garlic bread was nice & soft also the lasagna was big for 1 person couldn't eat it all but so worth the money. Good prices as well as lovely staff will be my new go to now for food

Lovely place to stay for few days. Modest rooms but very cosy inside with outstanding bathroom. Biggest dissapointmrnt was there is no breakfast and no food at all untill 12.00. Missing out here. I'm sure this can be fixed. I was told it was because of licience but loads of pubs do breakfast. I woukd have given a 5 star but for this. So make sure you bring serials. Also we had alot of problems with door and found it very hard to lock. Did try to fix it and did improve. However I must say my mum was moved to a better room because she has mobility issues. Big well done. Overall great stay and woukd return.

Definstely not recommended. No facilities, walls so thin you can hear other occupants. Very very disappointedRooms: 1/5

Not the best, room was ok looking but the doors let in a draft and lots of noise and the noise levels of the people in the pub next door was exceptionally loud until fairly late. Shower also was intermittently hot and cold and the whenever anyone else in the neighbouring rooms used their bathrooms it was also exceptionally loud.

Arrived at Crofters as we booked this for one night as we were visiting South Lakes Zoo and this was only a 15 minute drive away and was greeted by the lovely landlady who could not do enough for us. She directed us to our room HMS trafalgar which was up some metal stairs to the upper levelthe rooms are to the left of the pub in a block of there own so only a short walk across. The room itself was beautifully clean and so spacious everything you need plus spare pillows and set out lovely. We went down for tea and the landlady showed us to our table and we ordered the gammon which was delicious.She went above and beyond bringing our drinks to the table and was so friendly and such a happy lady. It was very quiet as we went on a Monday but would highly recommend this lovely place. Would definitely stay again.
