What a wonderful and unexpected pub in downtown Purley. Not as big as some 'spoons, but a good size with plenty of room to move about. It really looks like a boozer but in reality is a nice quiet place to meet up and have something to eat and drink. The pub is very clean and tidy and the staff are lovely. Not that many people in when I was there, but I get the feeling this is a hive of local activity. One of the 'spoons that has been put up for sale unfortunately and from chatting to the locals, it will be truly missed. And on the continuing egg saga: they had some, so the breakfast was as excellent as expected.
Great little pub! I come here often, even on my own for a few drinks on my days off from work and I’m never made to feel unwelcome. The staff are a credit to the company and couldn’t do more to help customers, their customer service is impeccable. I’m a regular here for the quiz they do every Wednesday! I heard on the grapevine that this spoons has been put up for sale and could be closed, this would be a great loss to the people of purely and I hope it doesn’t close :
Good choice of beers here. Kitchen out of service, staff kept us updated on the situation and expected reopening time.
Lovely pub! Has the ability to embody a traditional country pub, with the cheap prices you expect. Staff are so friendly, and give a real personal touch! Great for if you're on your own for a quick pint, and great for groups too!
Solid little pub. I come here with friends all the time. Good priced drinks. Good priced food. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
Been a while since I visited. Much much better than I remember. Given the ridiculously low prices and the good ambience I’d come back.
Nice cosy community pub. If this were to close it would be a shame. Definitely one for locals. Friendly staff, quick service, mix of TV screens and no TV screens , and variety of seating. They keep running out of eggs though!
Ok for food and my mother and I only ones to have cooked food. it meant meal was quicker. Enjoyed it. Shame it's not on the main road
