Very friendly polite helpful staff. Steak was excellent, as was the sea bass. Beer well kept. The pub itself is a lovely building. Lots of veggie choices for my pescaterian fiancee. My only minor gripe is the small quantity of pepper corn sauce to dip my chips in, but I'm sure if I had mentioned it to the staff they would have brought me more. Overall excellent.

The least vegetarian/vegan friendly restaurant I’ve been to in a good while. One veggie main (which I’m pretty sure the chef hasn’t tasted - not good at all). Little or no vegan. I realise it’s probably not what they are catering for, but surprising none the less.

A pub that I have been visiting since childhood and have loved every time whoever is running. The latest owners havereally honed in on what's important about pub cuisine; not too fussy. Just good food and good drinks in a cosy and comfortable setting. Will be back!

Went in for an early evening drink. Nice "tap room", open fire but spoilt by screaming kids. Drinks were of decent quality, pint of bitter and a glass of wine. Wine however was served in a warm glass. When you pay this much (£11) you would expect better.
