The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered mussels, fried squid, deep fried cauliflowers for us, fish cake and chips for kiddo. All tasted yummy and the staff was super super friendly. Would definitely recommend it. The only one thing what bothered me was that you have to pay £1.50 if you want/need more sauce for your chips or fish and the portion they give us with the meal is not enough. Ketchup is free though.
Some of the best fish and chips I’ve had. Perfectly crisp batter, beautifully fresh fish, and a generous helping of quality fries. The service is very efficient and the views from the terrace are stunning. They get the fish in fresh and some of the staff have been here for years. They’re true professionals, and the proximity both to the sea and the fishmongers next door is no coincidence — everything is freshly caught and delicious.
Great fish, flaky and juicy and batter really crispy. Calamari with Vietnamese dipping sauce was delicious, as was the bread and butter. The chips were definitely not cooked through and a little on the oily side unfortunately. Good service, worth going out of your way if you're in Edinburgh
The ambience was great and food really tasty. Scampi were better than expected and both the Haddock and Halibut were cooked well - we finished everything on our plates. The staff could do better though. The waitress we had felt a bit rude and lacked any kind of enthusiasm and seemed like she really did not want to work there by the kinds of answers she gave to our questions about recommendations on food and drinks.
Best fried fish I’ve had. The chowder was excellent, and the cocktails/drinks were good too. But WATCH OUT: the staff will push various dipping sauces and not mention that they cost £1.50 EACH for a tiny little cup. This was also not on the menu. I wouldn’t have gotten any if I knew they were that expensive. Also, the monkfish curry was somehow spicy but bland at the same time. Not worth the price.
First of all, the staff are very nice and they go an extra mile in customer service. I saw one of the crew delivering the takeaway coffee of an old lady to her outside of the restaurant. The fried haddock was very fresh and the chips are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Well done!!!!
went there to celebrate hubby’s birthday. nice place, ordered fish& chips of course oysters & prawn cocktail. overall good, but i think it is much better to grab an order and eat outside. it doesn’t have that sense of a restaurant type place. & overrated by food bloggers.Recommended dishesFish& Chips and Dip
We went on the off chance and were quickly given a table two of us. The restaurant was very busy and short-staffed but our meal was delicious and served in good time. Hope to go back as it is excellent. Our waitress was Justina who was excellent and made us feel special even though we are not!
The takeaway service was great add fast. Have to clean own table at the outside seating and be aware of seagulls that flying overhead. Food is tasty and affordable Parking: Parking is easily accessible at the back of the restaurant Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Took my partner for a birthday treat and it was just lovely, the restaurant and the staff were also divine especially Justyna she was so kind to us. She also made the best Bloody Mary’s we have ever had. My goodness we could of had 10. My partner ordered oysters and said they were delicious and fresh. I am a vegetarian I know.. but he loves sea food and I love him! and ordered the cauliflower and chips and he had the halibut which were also delicious. My only criticism is the curried Mayo doesn’t really go with the curried cauliflower it’s a little to samey samey - I think a mango chutney would be better Will certainly come again
