We were warmly welcomed by Ryan and had our bikes locked up in the shed out back. Our room was in a modern building behind the pub. Our pillows were a tad too big.nWe had dinner at the pub. Normal pub fare.nBreakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked.
Nice quiet air-conditioned room at the back of a standard British pub. Room was about 5 years old and still in good shape, and bathroom was excellent with heated towel rail and strong shower. Reasonably comfy beds. Very secure bike shed with lots of room. Would recommend.
Decent room for the price. The check-in process was disappointing, as we had to wait nearly 15 minutes. However, the evening pizza was nice, and the included breakfast was good. If not for the delay in checking in, it would have been a really good experience. Waiting was the last thing we wanted after a long day of cycling. On the plus side, they have secure storage for bikes, which was a blessing.
A group of golfers spent a weekend here and were looked after very well, especially by Niamh.nThe rooms in the separate building were modern and well furnished. It's a bit tricky to get into bath for a shower, so could do with handles to assist. Room wasn't cleaned every day though.nFood is decent.nExcellent location in small town and for touring about.
The Feathers hosted us for a family/friends get together the night before our wedding and they were absolutely wonderful. Irene, who we liaised with throughout, is the utmost professional and very well organised. She made us both feel comfortable from the word go and we couldn't believe how lucky we had been to find her/the Feathers. She knew exactly the atmosphere we were going for and went out of her way to design us a special menu for the evening, which was greatly appreciated. Niamh, who looked after us during the event itself, was absolutely fantastic and is a credit to the Feathers team.nnWe had also planned a picnic for the Sunday after our wedding, but unfortunately had to cancel because of poor weather. Without any hesitation Irene offered us a space at their sister pub, the Stamford, and made sure we were welcomed there and had the best time.nnWe honestly cannot recommend hosting an event here enough - they will make you and your guests feel so welcome, with excellent food and very reasonably priced drinks. Thank you so much to the whole team at the Feathers!
