We visited today for Sunday lunch and was not disappointed! We sat outside on the terrace in the shade which was very pleasant.nOur server Damian was absolutely marvellous! He was so attentive and thoughtful! He heard my 4 year daughter say she wanted a Yorkshire pudding but she doesn’t eat roast dinner so when her sausage chips came out she was super excited to see a giant Yorkshire on her plate. This made me super emotional as its little touches like this that mean so much. He was patient and great with our kids and I am even got an extra Yorkshire because I didn’t get own that last time I was at an elite pub.nThe food was delicious, the children’s came out with our starters and our main came out shortly after and was piping hot and very much enjoyed by myself and my husband. All in all a wonderful experience and would highly recommend and are sure to come back soon.nThank you to Damien and all the staff
Great pub, visited many times over the last 10 years, but surprised to see that all the best sunny part of the garden has been overtaken by sheds. Was a bit disappointing, considering the raised platform was always the best seats for the sun, and the sheds were closed with no guests. Sheds are a good idea, but in the wrong place of the garden.nFood was enjoyable as usual, but not good value for the portion sizes, especially the tapas. Friendly staff, good service, great selection of drinks, but had to wait 20 minutes at the bar one day recently, when it wasn’t even busy long gone are the days where the garden area was standing only!.nStill a great pub, but not the atmosphere and standard that it used to be.
My wife and I had a nice meal here, a bit pricey but otherwise no complaints. Good food and atmosphere. We were upstairs which was bright and airy. I felt for the young waitress going up and down the stairs so many times as there is no dumb waiter.
A lovely hotel, great staff. The room was spacious and clean. Lot's of choice for food. Shame breakfast isn't served but they have a partnership with a cafe one minute away. It was extremely hot though, a fan was provided but didn't do much. The boiler broke on my stay meaning no shower, but the moment I mentioned it to the staff they were apologetic and did what they could to compensate me. It is a lovely quiet place to stay.
Visited on a Warm Thursday evening.nFriendly staff and a nice selection of drinks.nnNo reservation had been made but were able to get a table for 4 adults.nn2 calzone and 2 pizzas which were on the large size and no need for side dishes.nnA very pleasant evening with polite, friendly and attentive staff.nnHope to return soon
