Used to live in Chorlton many years ago and have been here a few times over the years. Very popular watering hole. Only had two real ales on.Had a pint of Greene King Yardbird Pale Ale. Perfectly fine. Outdoor seating to rear.
Really calm and friendly atmosphere, even during a manchester and liverpool match which is really saying something! Classical meets modern design with welcoming staff, and a great range of drinks. Great for a casual or a night out.
I have always loved this pub and living in Sale we like to walk over via the water park. The pub is dog friendly as are we and the gentleman behind the bar tonight at 18.00 was very helpful and friendly. The locals seem very content in the pleasant surroundings and were happy to chat. Great local pub with a good feel to it. Nice in the seating area out the back today, comfortable and quiet.
Great atmosphere for the rugby, good selection of beer and the best bar person in Manchester. She may not smile much but quick, knows whose next, and can serve multiple people at one. Old fashioned bar service at it's best.
Brilliant place for pint and a catch up. Decent for the football too!
I went to watch the football, the atmosphere was great despite the result, and everyone was very warm and friendly!
No food just a nice old drinking pub.
