Great food reasonably priced found it by chance as attending a wedding at Dumfries house and looked foe somewhere close by for evening meal

Hotel is lovely. Decor is gorgeous. Food was really nice and we'll priced. We waited quite a while for our starters but otherwise had a great time. Will be back!

I had a really nice meal with excellent service, in the very pleasant garden area. The waiter was more than happy to check that my food was all completely vegetarian; they prepared a scrumptious linguini for me, substituting relevant ingredients with vegetarian alternatives. Unlike many establishments which I have visited through the years, my dietary choice was not treated as an inconvenience by the Fairburn; they could not have been any more accommodating ! I actually felt very welcome there, as if they valued my custom - a really pleasant change compared with so many other establishments. Since I am unemployed at present, eating out is a real treat to myself... and that is exactly how the Fairburn Hotel made it feel, too😊 Thank you to both the waiter, Fraser, and also the chef, both of whom made me feel that I would like to go back there again - no mean feat on a pushbike from Coylton ! You are both a credit to the Fairburn Hotel.    My only grumble ? I was so fulfilled by the very generous portion of linguini (to die for !!!), that I was unable to finish my portion of chunky chips... and a dessert was therefore out of the question; I must rectify this serious issue... Thanks again, folks !

Staff very friendly and attentive. Cajun chicken crepes were to die for! Lovely atmosphere!
