Myself and my partner were attending my partner's daughters wedding on Saturday 7/10/17. Being the mother of the bride and step mum of the bride we had booked a deluxe room at the hotel. Two weeks before the wedding we were required to change rooms but had still requested a deluxe double room. Once we had checked in at approx 12.30 (the wedding was at 1400) we were to discover that.... 1) our room was at the furthest room away from the rest of the bridal party 4 flights upstairs and no lifetime available. 2) our "deluxe double" turned out to be a DOUBLE SOFA BED AND TWO SINGLE BEDS. Both myself and my partner have mobility issues and this was NOT what we had requested!!! We spoke to "Mellisa" who said she would "sort things out during the meal" Meal finished and apparently there was nothing she could do. This left my partner the mother of the bride in tears and it spoilt our day. We subsequently found out that the estranged father of the bride and several other guests of the wedding party were in superior rooms to the mother of the bride. To say we were raging and upset is an understatement!!!! We will never stay or attend a function or meal at this hotel as the so called help we got was useless!!

Went there tonight with a party of Six. The Service was slower then slow, although the young teenager who was serving tried his best. We had to keep asking for the little things that we had ordered beforehand. For a place like this, then you would expect the service to be good. I have looked at other bad reviews they have had, and you would think they would have learnt their lesson. I will not be back and I will tell all my friends to stay away. One thing that they did do rapidly, Was to give you the bill. The meals were not that good either.

Friendly, helpful staff. Normal book-in is 2pm but they let us in early so we could prepare for a wedding at another venue. We returned to the hotel about 11:30pm and decided on a nightcap. One member of staff on duty and she couldn't do enough for us. She said the bar would stay open until she went off duty at 6:30am - now that's my kind of hotel!

This place has the look of a classy establishment, but that's as much as it offers. I've been on a few occasions hoping that it will improve, but it just doesn't. The food is average. It's not bad. But doesn't leave you feeling like you would want to rush back. The service is inconsistent. Went for a high tea recently and was left sitting for 20 minutes before being served. I never was asked if I wished more coffee and had to ask for plates for my food. I would recommend that you go to the sister hotel, Railway in Auchinleck. Although the railway is not as fancy, the service is better and the food is far tastier.

Enjoyed a lovely meal here a few weeks ago ago. Staff were friendly and professional, great prices too. Would defo return here again in the future.
