Booked in for meal on recommendation from another hotel as being best in area. Told last available table out of about 10. In the two hours we were there only 4 other tables were filled. Plenty of space but they tell people they are full to give false impression. Food was nice but not great quantity.
The grub was awesome! We had a blast with our choices – went for the fish and chips, and my partner dove into a chicken burger. Oh, and dessert? We wrapped it up with a sticky toffee pudding that was just downright tasty.nnThe food was on point, with the fish and chips nailing that crispy perfection, and the chicken burger packing a flavor punch. And let's not forget those chips – seriously, who knew fries could be this good?nnThe drinks were a cool mix, covering everything from chill non-alcoholic sips to some crafty cocktails. A nice touch to wash down all that goodness.nnAnd that sticky toffee pudding? Pure bliss. It was like a dessert symphony in my mouth – rich, sweet, and just what we needed to cap off the feast.nnBottom line? This place not only knows how to cook up a storm but also brings a laid-back vibe to the table. The service was spot-on, and we left with happy bellies and plans to hit it up again. If you're into top-notch nosh in a chill setting, this spot's a winner.
Lovely pub we stayed at for 3 nights. Are there the first night and had breakfast each morning. All the food was lovely. Our room was spotless and quiet. Only criticism is the bed wasn't very comfortable and needs a new mattress.
Lovely pub , great service, we are just back from having a delicious Sunday roast of welsh lamb & beef with all the trimmings and thoroughly enjoyed it . Great ambience to the place too if your in Conway looking for good beer and food this place is a must.
The rooms were great, the breakfast was good.nThe problem was that most of the evening menu relied on complexity and price high than on pleasing diners.nGood Welsh food doesn't need Orange Tagine to please.nLearn from your hubris.
