Orly looked after us and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best evening. To start with she ensured that we got to taste the wine and made sure our meals were perfect. The food and atmosphere has been superb but Orly's service was world class. If there was an option, she would get 6 stars.Food: 5/5
We came here as we were walking past looking for a late lunch spot. We really loved the atmosphere of the pub. Staff was very friendly and efficient and service incl. food didn’t take long. We had Fish& Chips and Salad and both were excellent.Food: 5/5
I stopped by The Engineer last weekend with a group of friends, and it was such a great find! We specifically came in looking for a relaxed spot with delicious food, and we weren’t disappointed. Two of our party were looking for non-alcoholic cocktails, and Laurence at the bar truly nailed it with his recommendations. The wine recommendations, made by Lee, who was serving at the table, were also spot-on and paired perfectly with our meal. The prawn linguine and lamb rump were both outstanding—perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and not a single bite was left on our plates. The staff here clearly know how to deliver an excellent dining experience. Can’t wait to come back!
Had the most amazing experience at the engineer the other night. The food was amazing, our starters, mains and deserts were delicious and came quickly. Thank you to all of the team, we were sat at a wonderful table, the bar staff were all so helpful and friendly. Most of all thank you to the lovely Lola who was our server for the night! She was so wonderful and catered to our every need, always making sure we had enough drinks, getting our food order quickly and checking on us throughout the night. Hope to come again soon, thanks again to all the team!
This pub is fantastic, with friendly staff who always make me feel welcome. I love the seasonal menu they offer. I was there recently and was greeted by Graham, who sat me and my friends down and guided us through the menu with ease. We had a lovely evening. If you're planning to visit, definitely try the Venison Pie—it's delicious! The only downside is that the restrooms could use a redesign. I look forward to my next visit!
The Engineer features a very nice beer garden. Staff is very friendly and attentive but sadly the food was rather disappointing. The started was okay but the Sunday roast we've had was lukewarm at best and general disappointing in terms quality. Sadly, really not worth the money at about £50.Food: 2/5
Had a great time at this restaurant! Crispy fried mozzarella was a flavorful way to kick things off. The desserts were the highlight. absolutely delicious, especially the Chocolate and Cherry Sundae. Special mention to Carmen and Dalian! Highly recommend giving this place a try!
Came here with a couple of friends a few weeks ago and had a really great experience! The staff were really friendly and the food/drinks were delivered promptly to our table! The manager think his name was Tom was really lovely to us all and we had a lovely female waiter can’t remember her name but she had brown hair . Definitely will be back and recommend getting the fish and chips if you visit!
Great experience! The avocado & mango salad was super fresh and delicious—a great starter. The desserts were amazing too. The apple, plum & damson crumble with custard was warm and comforting, and the sticky toffee pudding was rich and tasty. Carmen and Dalian provided excellent service—friendly, quick, and attentive.
Very stylish, friendly staff en excellent food. Highly recommended.Food: 5/5
