Story

With an outdoor terrace overlooking Camden's eclectic food market and canal, Lockside Camden combines a bar atmosphere with a dance floor focus. Expect promoters from all corners of the capital combining to bring you a mix of House, Garage, R&B, Dancefloor, and much more until 3am.

During the day, Lockside focuses almost-exclusively upon food and drinks with a selection of craft beers both bottled and on-tap, a full cocktail menu, and resident Mexican pop-up kitchen 'Evil Twin'.

Not much to the atmosphere when you walk in but it is in a great location. It is right in the heart of Camden Market, along the Camden Lock. We weren’t wowed when we walked in but were hungry and looking for food. I had been drinking their beer at pubs around the UK since I arrived two weeks ago, so I wanted to try their brewery. Although not wowed by the atmosphere of the place, the food was fantastic. They don’t have a kids menu but I got the Cotswold fried chicken, without the hot sauce, for my 4 year old daughter and it was amazing. My wife and I shared the fish and chips and it was probably the best we’ve had since we’ve been here. The only hiccup was that a lot of the cocktails on their cocktail menu contained Beefeater Gin but they were out of Beefeater Gin and they couldn’t, or wouldn’t, substitute another of their gins in the cocktail, so half their cocktail menu was unavailable. That being said, I wouldn’t come here for the atmosphere or cocktails, there are better spots you can have a drink overlooking the Camden Locks, but if you’re hungry, definitely come for the fish and chips or the Cotswold Fried chicken. Based on the quality of these two dishes, their kitchen definitely know what they are doing and you wouldn’t be disappointed.
Quite a nice bar. Very crowded and noisy terrace, almost empty inside. From the terrace, a beautiful view of the market and the Regent Canal. You can only pay by card.Service: 3/5
Great place in the heart of Camden. Home of Camden ale so was a must to visit. Only went in for drinks but staff were great especially their spicy Margarita. From what we saw on the tables, if you're going after 4pm book early to avoid disappointment. Being in the place, you can see why they get booked out. Go experience it, you won't regret it!
This burger was £15.95 . Barely one step up from MacDonalds . Four of the draft beers were unavailable.The two stars are for the polite service .
Wonderful location. Live music and super friendly bar man. I wanted Slimline tonic which they didn't have so I asked for soda water. The barman gave it on the houseService: 5/5
This is the god damn toxic and poisoned restaurant! I go there with my wife and ordered FISH AND CHIP and SHORT RIB BURGER The burger was taste so weird like extremely strange beef smell! After a few hours, we got seriously food poisoning keep vomit and diarrhea! This restaurant ruined my trip! Now the only thing we can do is lying on the hotel bed keep feeling painful from our stomach! Everyone PLEASE READ this comment before you go! I really don’t want you to become me! WASTED A WHOLE DAY TO SUFFER WITH PAIN! Can anyone feel my anger? Dietary restrictions: Food poisoning
A very unfortunate experience. Been there for lunch with friends. Doors were left wide open all the time so the place was very cold. Very loud music all the time. We ordered beers and food, we got told that all the chefs were in break at the same time shouldn’t they go in different waves? Maybe different policy for them. We ordered burger and chicken schnitzel, asked to swap the chips for the fries. After waiting 15 minutes for chefs to come back, we get told by the waiter that the kitchen run out of fries so the swap was not possible. Chicken schnitzel arrived in 10 minutes, not the greatest I had in my life, really burnt and too crispy. Missing garlic aioli in one of then, ask at the waiter and brings only regular ketchup and mayo bottles of condiments left out all the time. We had to wait an extra 15 minutes for the burger to arrive, not given any explanation for this long waiting time. Really disappointed about this.
The bar is lovely and nice location, but throughout our night I had three drinks of mine that were not even half way emptied picked up by staff and taken away as if those drinks were finished. The first one that noticed was missing I just bought another one and the 2nd a mate of mine got me another but by the 3rd I had to go up and say something, I got two drinks back. The funny thing as well is I watched it happen to my friend to and the lady just put it on the bar where they put glasses to be cleaned, clearly loads in the glass told me friend and she had to go pick it up. I feel like if it's not emptied or the staff hasn't asked anyone if it's finished they shouldn't be picking up people's drinks that they have paid for. Other than that the bar is good with a good vibe but that has put me of as that has never happened to me anywhere
Very beautiful place. A pub over the Camden street food Square close the bay. It's at the end of the High street on the right out the underground station. For every hour of the day. Advise You the Atlantic Pale Ale beer. Good music too.
Just love the building...it will be my home, bar already installed, what more could you ask for? An old warehouse building, right by Regent's canal, amazing. Only letdown just a little bit floppy plastic pint mugs inside. The peeps behind the bar a lovely and keen to help. Great background music. It is very difficult to find what you don't like about this pub. Do pay a post lockdown visit.
