We had a tasty, delicious dinner. You can choose from a really rich menu, the meat is just amazing. I loved the salad bar idea, even I got lot of food on my plate so I wasn't really able to enjoy all the choice available at the salad bar : the cheesecake was delicious. And overall the bill was not that expensive. Also, people working here are simply the best, really really kind and always smiling. We really enjoyed our dinner here! That evening was quite cold outside, I can't wait to come to Durley Inn again in summer, to enjoy good food and sunny weather!
Food was lovely but not a place to go for a special occasion. Vegetarian options were okay. Service was good but kept asking if I was okay when eating and some people like that. I just wanted to enjoy my food. Bartender very attentive cleaning up water from the floor. Beautiful views of the sea whilst your eating.Food: 4/5
Good for a large family get together. Relatively simple food see pics but with a few fun variations possible. Would love real blue cheese options on burgers and flatbreads more actual cheese than cheese sauce in rest of menu. Will definitely come back.Food: 3/5
I booked a table for two here about half an hour before arriving. My expectations of a Harvester are never especially high. The food is generally of an acceptable quality and the service can be hit or miss. On this occasion, however - my first visit to the Durley Inn - I was very pleasantly surprised. It was clear that at 4.30pm so long after lunch and with a while to go until dinner, there wasn’t a massive staff presence. Staff were rushed off their feet whilst attending to so many customers but they still delivered a very friendly and attentive service. Our server, Emilia, was brilliant. Despite a busy restaurant, she made the time to chat, recommend dishes and knew the menu well. Little things in a restaurant can make the world of difference - we received an apology for the short time taken to reach us and we were asked about the enjoyment of our meals. The salad bar was well stocked and fresh and the portion size was enormous too. The bread rolls weren’t the best - tasting like they’d been there a while - so after one bite, I was done. The main meals were good. Again, a good portion size and the Simply Chicken could be doubled up for just £1.99 so very reasonable. My choice was the half chicken with chips, corn and gravy. The chicken was great, again tasted very fresh, and it was very filling too. I had started on the meal by the time I took the photograph - it wasn’t delivered looking so sparse! So great service and probably the best setting for a Harvester as well, sitting right on the beach, with lovely views over the water and towards the setting sun.
I haven't been to a harvester in a long time and my visit here last Wednesday totally proved to me why I have been abstaining. First of our bowls were dirty the platter to place drink on was absolutely filthy. My burger was the only think I enjoyed but even with that the lettuce was all brown and had to be removed. It was really hard to find any none rotten salad in the salad bar. Overall I won't be visiting harvester ever again in my life. The guy that took my orders name is Michael and he was very bubbly and polite I also liked his dessert recommendation, also we sat outside and the view is soo lovely those 3 points were the only pro's. Average food and a poor experience over all.
Found this place by accident just trying different roads to see the sea. Great place for people with disabilities to access the beach. We had puddings here after eating lunch earlier in Wagamama. They weren't that nice. I had a fruit crumble that had little crumble. It tasted ok but looked awful. Essentially, it was a bowl of cooked fruit with a handful a small handful of crumble sprinkled on top. VERY disappointing. My friend had a waffle, which looked great, but she didn't enjoy it, finding it dry. The surroundings outweighed the food, although the chicken did smell amazing and the staff were lovely. I will visit the area again to access the beach. Not sure I'll eat here again. Coffee would be good though. Parking: There are disabled spaces right at the bottom next to the sea, but be aware you still have to pay if you have a blue badge! I used an app to pay. Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible due to the ramp but there was a small step to get to the window tables. You would be able to sit outside though.
Such a lovely pub in a great location. But they were super short staffed and we waited a long time to get our food. We had ordered some more drinks but as it took so long we asked to cancel them, they said the order hadn't gone through, when we got home we realised they had charged our card. It took ages to get through to them to get the money back. Its a really great place and a good menu, but they need more staff as they were really struggling.
Delicious! Went with the wife to get dinner together as she was starving! She got the spit roast chicken, and I got the dirty burger! That thing was HUGE! Service was very fast, and was about 4mins from walking in to us ordering...wow!! Got the refill option for the drinks, and the usual salad sides with bread buns etc...cant help yourself at the salad bar but just ask what you want and they will serve you! Clean, tidy and very helpful, been a while since we last went to a harvester? But will be back soon! Disabled friendly and plenty of room to manoeuvre around! Delicious! 5*
Lovely bar and restaurant placed on the beach front with view of the sea and indoor dinning and out door seating area on the sea front, food was lovely nice portions, great taste and free salad bar with the meal, this place also does a refill fizzy drink option. staff was amazing great service and friendly waiter.Food: 5/5
This building was designed for the view with plenty of window seats along a huge curved wall of glass and also a huge outside seating for the summer. It's a great place for lunch or dinner. Its recommended to book in advance to get the best seats as this is a very busy restaurant in the summer times. Great service and good prices.
