Early evening and the pub was already filling up. Very good selection of well kept ales. The garden is particularly pretty and was well used. Fabulous to see a classic bar billiards table
Proper pub... fantastic beer and cider range. Lovely garden and outside area. Friendly staff.... oh...and live music at weekends / some week nights. Hungry?.... good kebab / burger shop next door.
1 star is too much it's an awful and rude misogynistic pub I was pushed past and ignored by 2 male serving staff who did not acknowledge me and proceeded to serve male regulars 3 after me whilst waited then left without a drink. All ladies avoid its a
Brilliant staff, but the chap in the shirt and long ponytail that I think may be the manager hen pecks at the younger staff. We were served by two lovely young chaps, one in black and one in pale green with an awesome belt buckle and they were hen pecked despite providing great service the whole evening we were there. Great pub and great beers and ales but the manager needs to let up on younger staff
So glad we popped in here today.nA proper pub, great friendly staff and a fantastic garden.nGoing back for the live music ASAP.nShame it's not my local but 30 miles would be a long walk home.
