Stopped here for some lunch and to get out the rain! Small car park, but we did get a space even though it was busy inside. Nice classic style pub with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Dog friendly too. The menu had a huge selection, but we went for 2 types of ploughman's, both of which were very tasty although a proper container for the condiments would be better. Glad we came here.
Great foods, great service. Nice to have a quick lunch. Nice place to hang around with friends. Need booking for lunch.
I took my mother to this pub recently and we both agreed it was great. When I asked about accessibility the person on the phone was very helpful and offered to reserve a convenient parking space. The pub itself is very nice inside, well presented and has a good ambience. The service was first class, friendly and attentive without ever being intrusive. The menu featured several tempting offerings; we both settled for sea bass, which was perfectly cooked. If I want to be picky the broccoli & cauli were a bit on the soft side for me, but that's personal preference and it didn't spoil my enjoyment. And then the big test....the syrup sponge with custard. Would there be a proper amount of custard or just a tiny little poxy pot on the side? I'm happy to report that this was a slam dunk, and I found myself eagerly facing a sponge island in the middle of a sea of custard....outstanding!
Cannot fault. We booked a short notice late lunch and they were very accommodating. Food selection quite vast with a few specials. Staff knowledgeable and very helpful. Quality of food was very good and prompt. Overall excellent. We will be back.
Lovely pub, hidden away but still quite a busy lunchtime. Great service, good food, dog friendly in the bar area not sure about the restaurant Will definitely be back. Very reasonable prices, good menuFood: 5/5
A little gem we stumbled across by accident. Very cosy, cute establishment. Even though it was Sunday lunchtime and very busy we got the last table, service was quickly and friendly. Food was delicious. Kid-friendliness: Very friendly towards my son.
Very nice athmosphere, food was really good, i had the roasted lamb shoulder with gravy..wonderful !
Was looking forward to Sunday lunch here. Staff were polite, but very rushed. Not much care was taken. Food was a huge let down. Both roasts were overcooked, starter was also not great. For the first time ever, couldn't finish my roast
Lovely cosy pub with excellent food. Definitely eat there again. Thank you for making us feel welcome.Food: 5/5
