The perfect meal out! A lively and warm atmosphere with a higher wood fired pizza oven. The menu was filled with a great range of dishes to suit all tastes and dietary requirements. Our food was fresh, delicious and plentiful. What REALLY stood out, was the wonderfully attentive service. Nothing was too much trouble and our lovely waitress wish I caught her name was beyond outstanding. She made sure my son and I had lemon and honey teas for our colds. Will definitely recommend and I wish we were local enough to pop back regularly. We stayed the night for a local attraction. The room was very nice. It’s definitely a restaurant with a hotel rather than a hotel with restaurant.
Stopped here as highly recommended by others. Vibrant atmosphere really attentive staff food was delicious. Lots of parking. Interesting cups for hot drinks. I'm glad I went had a lovely time lovely presentation of food and not long wait time either. It was during the week at lunch time was rather busy a wonderful experience. One can stay here but I cannot comment the experience maybe in the future I will book here.
We had a lovely meal here. The food was superb. Surroundings and atmosphere wonderful. It is expensive. Our first server was great but part way through our meal they changed and the second one didn't seem very interested. We would have had more drinks but we weren't asked.Service: 3/5
visited with the family for xmas day and was very happy with everything. staff were amazing! they were all very attentive and the service was great. place was entirely full which we didn't expect but the food, drink and general atmosphere were perfect. worth every penny and we'll definitely be returning.Service: 5/5
My just married son and my daughter-in-law invited us to have lunch together. Beautiful place, with fire going, fairy lights outside, polite staff and good food. The photos we took turned out beautiful tooRooms: 5/5
Food was unpleasant at best, anything that was fried left a horrible taste in your mouth which I can only assume was from dirty oil in the cooker. I had to clean my mouth with mouthwash when I arrived home. Notwithstanding the food, the service was lovely and very attentive which was nice.
Was working just up the road from this pub and went in for a quick pint after work one day my first thought was I probably should not be in here in my work clothes because every thing was very clean and tidy. I sat at the bar and the staff where very friendly. I didn't eat here but I did see wot was coming out the kitchen and I think I might try this one evening as it actually looked very nice. There is ample parking and rooms available for the night. When I've been back and sampled the food IL let everyone now how it was
Good food but sat on a table in the draft of a door where the Hotel customers coming in & out and next to the staff station. There shouldn't be a table there. Our waiter was a complete control freak. Not sure that we would go backService: 1/5
Very poor service - waited at least 20 minutes for our order to be taken and so it continued. Over priced - £13.50 for one piece of toast, a few bits of unripe avocado, a few bits of smoked salmon and 2 eggs. Had to ask for basics like sugar, cranberry sauce etc.. If the place is short of staff, pay more and give value for money
Recently we experienced poor customer service and an extremely rude manager who sadly I didn’t get the name of. The service was rubbish, we didn’t have anyone greet our table for the first 45 minutes and couldn’t get anyone’s attention. My husbands pizza came out cold and I ordered a rump steak. The steak was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever tasted, I complained about this and the MANAGER, turned around and said ‘Well you did choose one of the cheapest items on our menu’ It then got worse by her implying that I couldn’t afford a more expensive choice! If you’re looking for poor service and rude staff then this is the place to go! They don’t even deserve a 1 star rating.
