The Duckworth Arms

Story

The Duckworth Arms is an attractive pub and restaurant in Ramsbottom, Bury. With friendly staff who offer great service this is an ideal venue for families with children, couples or people dining alone or those wanting just a quiet drink. We have a traditional yet modern look, with leather seating and wooden floors providing an airy space with a designer feel. There is an original log fire and traditional wood panelling for a homely environment. Food is served from our main menu, children's menu and Chefs specials board and offers a good choice of dishes from steak and grills to fish and signature dishes. All are prepared and cooked to order on the premises. We offer an informal dining experience with full table service in the pub or you may choose to dine on the patio during the warmer months. Our beautiful beer garden has stunning views over the valleys. To accompany your meal there is award winning JW Lees cask bitter and premium draught, along with a superb range of bottled beers and fine wines if preferred. Because the TV and music are not loud, you can hold a conversation without having to shout above the noise. A warm, friendly welcome awaits you at this rather special venue. See you soon

Visited with a family group and though some of the meals were good the Sunday roast was poor. The beef was tonight, turkey was badly reheated and Yorkshire puds chewy. On the good side the staff were lovely and service was good. Also the lamb rump, sea bass and burger was good.

Went for a meal with my friend yesterday around dinner time, food was spot on with brilliant service. The real ale was a spot on too. Will be coming back. Not bad eye candy either, very attractive woman with a BANGING body and arse haha who waited on us with lovely service, wish I got her name.

10 out of 10 as always. Food is the dogs, and a big choice of cooked meals and snacks (burgers n stuff). Veggie choices too. And quiz night (Wednesday's) is varied and entertaining plus bingo with prizes. Had a meal tonight following with quiz and didn't have to change tables. Blizzard outside and warm company, fire, atmosphere inside. Love it. Great staff also.

The food is really good quality though not cheap and portion sizes okay. There is a good selection to suit all and they are more than happy to cater for those with allergies. They also have a good choice in beers including some alcohol-free ones for the drivers. Its a nice atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff and nothing is too much trouble.
