Our party meets regularly and we always look for a restaurant that is independently owned and has good reviews. On this occasion our research was well rewarded and the Hungry Duck delivered a great meal. All courses were presented fabulously and tasted great. The way they served the veg and laid out the plates was great. £25 on a Sunday for 3 courses or £21 for 2 courses and the pricing was pretty spot on. The wine was great and we went with recommendation of Malbec. However good food and wine are not everything - it's often the service that let's things down. Not here all very good- showing genuine interest in our party, the team delivered all the food just as required and I never felt like we waited for the next course or one person's meal, it all just happened in a timely manner and we spent a great 2.5 hours in this place enjoying a fab relaxed chat and meet up. Thoroughly recommend.

I've been to this restaurant with my family 3 times now, and had an absolutely amazing time and experience every single time. Joe is absolutely lovely, and always so friendly and welcoming, and the perfect front of house for The Hungry Duck. A lovely chilled and relaxing atmosphere, with great hosting, is only topped by the absolutely sensational food. Every single time, every single plate has been cleared by every member of the party, and literally has never been a single comment from anyone on what could be improved, just rave reviews of how good the food and meal has been. I would go back in a heartbeat, and as quickly as possible.

The Hungry Duck was an absolute treat! Fine dining within a beautifully decorated space with friendly staff and attentive maître d who ensured we had a wonderful evening. The menu offered a great range of delicious and enticing options which means we will definitely be visiting again soon!

Lovely food particularly the desserts. Ginger pudding and ice cream were gorgeous. I had a cauliflower main dish and although the tastes were good, it was a little overdone (burnt at edges) for my taste. Good service and atmosphere

What a gem of a place. Wonderful food and excellent service. The owner and the staff are spot on and make it a really enjoyable evening. I can't wait to be back !!
