The Dragon, is a 150 year old pub with character, charm and a warm welcome! Situated in the heart of Willington village, backing on to the Trent and Mersey canal. It has recently been sympathetically extended, renovated and restored with the introduction of a new 70 seater restaurant, courtyard and dedicated bar area to compliment our fabulous beer garden, on the edge of the canal. There is nowhere quite like The Dragon on a sunny afternoon … we are the area’s favourite destination for diners, drinkers, walkers and boaters alike. We serve a superb selection of classic and contemporary dishes throughout the day. Bookings are advised for evenings and weekends but there is plenty of room and plenty of parking with a FREE public car park right next door! There is always plenty to see and do at the dragon including featured dining nights, themed evenings and community events…

It was very busy food warm not hot pork very thinly sliced similar to bought cooked ham veggies very nice and lots of them. Apple cake nice and light but with only a desert spoon of custard! Service good and food presented well.

Food was fantastic, no complaints besides some crampedness. That's just the atmosphere. Lovely place for both formal meals and family dinners.

The Dragon is a modern country pub which is bustling with life. The restaurant and bar where busy here on a Friday night but this made it feel like the place to be. The service in the restaurant was amiable and attentive. The atmosphere was energetic and due to the addition of a log burner, homely. The menu is essentially classic British pub, dressed up with fashionable additions such as haloumi fries, baked Camembert and Cured Bavette. We enjoyed our meal here and will be back.

Brilliant pub with friendly staff. Dog-friendly and serve some interesting beers too. can recommend Beast of Bloodstock beer.
