I love curry but have a serious food allergy that means I can't trust any other Indian restaurant to eat at. Vid and the staff at Kinara always look after us and the food is always excellent. You can get cheaper curry in Derby but you have to look at the quality of the ingredients used and the quantity of protein you get in each dish. There is a difference between price and value which other reviews seem to miss. If I wanted 3 pieces of cheap chicken with the chance of a dodgy tummy and a possible allergic reaction I could save a few quid but I would rather have a quality meal with confidence. We just ask the staff for a couple of desi dishes and not bother with the menu these days and are never disappointed

Very friendly staff but apart from Veeraswamys in Regent Street, this is the most expensive Indian Restaurant I've ever been to. The food was good but no better than a regular Indian and therefore certainly not worth the £15 average for a main course! The "Special deal" was not on the menu but was on the website. This should have been offered but wasn't so it's worth mentioning when going in. The waiter that I mentioned this to tried to tell me it no longer applied but I kicked up a fuss and showed him the website. Overall a nice little restaurant but spoilt by the totally inflated price tags!!

Overall a great dining experience. Excellent service and welcoming attitude from all the staff and wonderful food . Quite expensive .. but I feel worth the money. Worth a visit for some authentic Indian cuisine

Great service, very attentive. Like having a flannel in toilet but shame only 1 cubicle. Expensive, but very tasty and worth it for special occasions as whole experience great.
