Visit on a Tuesday morning for doggy club. Lots of local pooches getting to know each other and coffee for their humans. They did Cakes too this week with donations to Macmillan Cancer.
Went for a quiz night and meal. All the staff are fabulous, very friendly and accommodating. The food is well presented and delicious. Would definitely recommend.
Really friendly place, bar person was really chatty and the menu looks great but, food wasn't great, burger under cooked, chips cooked in dirty oil all the fried stuff was overcooked and really crispy, nand we waited ages, even though there wasn't anyone else eating when we were.
Always a pleasant local pub atmosphere. Friendly staff and patrons. A mix of age groups from children up to the older generation. There is a very large sandpit for the children which looks relatively clean. They serve food from a set menu which is reasonable in quality and price. The food follows a 'pub grub' style. Events happen here such as karyoke and the like, including reduced price foods like steak nights. Overall I would suggest this pub for a casual meal with friends, where a sophisticated meal is not required.
Pub itself is a cozy little place with helpful staff that seem very down-to-earth and knowledgeable about the beers they have on offer. The selection is a little sparse when it comes to cask ales but that's more a trend with Greene King than the pub itself. Overall a nice place to have a pint and some food
Have been coming to The Dolphin in Melbourn on & off for a while & wanted to congratulate its team & owners. One of the few places you can eat after 3pm on a Sunday in the locality is just one of its perks, alongside its really nice, friendly staff. I went to watch the bands play on the bank holiday Sunday, at its mini festival, and loved seeing kids running around, a super BBQ, some stalls & some great music too, while supporting the charity Mind. It's a warm, inviting & very inclusive place. Myself & my husband really enjoy the good vibes of this pub.
I held a barbecue for 50 members of the golf club at the Dolphin, Jackie the manager and her staff were outstanding, the food was excellent good beer selection at a reasonable price, facilities catered for everybody even those people who brought their children along. Ample parking, and even if you couldn't get a spot in the car park there was a free car park down the road along. A great day was had by all, I highly recommend the Dolphin if you want an outside event.
Great visit, friendly staff and good food
Had a lovely Xmas dinner here was really nice will be going again next year from Julie
Staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Armed forces veteran breakfast on the first Sunday of each month is a winner. It's great meeting other army, navy and raf vets and listening to the banter.
