Took my 9 month old baby to softplay, was in the baby section with the piano and sensory lights, when my baby reached out for a rock hard chip, covered in hairs like it had been there days.. i picked it up and took it to a member of staff and informed them, to be told it gets cleaned every night, i explained it clearly wasnt as you could tell the chip had been there for days with how rock hard it was, she then went on to say it gets cleaned every day! So i took it upon myself to take photos of the absolute mess which shows it clearly hasnt been cleaned in a very long time... ill let people decide for themselves . Left straight away quite appauled with the state, there was crumbs all over the sensory lights too

Great place to go swimming with the kids, has two slides, 3 diving boards a kids pool and then the big pool. Also has a gymnasium, soft play for kids and other facilities. I come every week and the kids love it.

Many thanks to Rebecca who went above and beyond when I experienced some technical difficulties in setting up my new membership online. I found her to be very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. She is a great asset to the leisure centre

The Dolphin Centre in Darlington is a fantastic community hub offering something for everyone. The swimming facilities are clean and well-maintained, with friendly lifeguards always on hand. The gym has a great selection of modern equipment, and the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. It’s also a great place for families — the leisure pool and soft play area keep children entertained for hours. The café serves good-quality food at reasonable prices, making it easy to spend a whole afternoon there. Overall, the Dolphin Centre provides excellent value and a friendly atmosphere that makes you want to return.

very disappointing ! Mentioned concerns to staff for nothing to be done when mentioned to management it seems .nShowers in the health suit the water pressure is a joke such old and bad showers not what you want after a work out or relax in the suite. Changing room muddy and water everywhere some evenings The place is always so busy if anything too busy so they are making money but not putting it back into the Centre which is disappointing , because the place has such potential with good simple improvements and listening to members. Also if it's not the jaccuzi down, right now it's the pool that's out of action becoming very frustrating. Considering cancelling membership to be honest which is a shamennThe majority of the staff after very kind and try to help as far as they can but the facility's as I mentioned not good
