Nice venue. Good selection of beers including non-alcohol. Staff friendly. Reasonably priced and large outside seating area. Just had snacks to eat. Came quickly. Tater tots definitely worth trying.
Had a day off from work so had a trip over to media city fancied something to eat & drink and their it was the place that I was going to have my lunch in . The Dockyard . As an Industrial feel to it with an old school look when it comes to the the chairs / wooden tools .this is a great place very spacious inside but also outside in them summer months just people watching or if your lucky the odd celebrity walking by the prices are not bad remember you are in media city so expect to pay about 5 pound for a drink. I did have a bite to eat and opted for the Dockyard Club bit like a BLT you get it with fries .But have to say I was disappointed . I paid 11 pound for my lunch but I found it had very little taste and the biggest disappointment was the cheap bread they used Try Warburtos . Bit of a let down when the meal was nothing special needs work . but over all the staff are friendly and welcoming and it's in a great location with a good choice of drinks. will I go back absolutely for drinks not for the food sadly. but I had a great Afternoon its a wonderful place to stop At . Thanks to the staff for being so welcoming.
Superb range of beers and great cozy atmosphere. The specialist small batch beers are superb and plenty of choice. If you're unsure of one you can have a taste first. Definitely worth a visit.
One of my go to places. Staropramen is a must! Can be busy match days, but generally a good place for a sit and drink on the Quays.
Always pleasant atmosphere and dog friendly is always a plus. Good burger & very nice house slaw. But this time the frozen chips disappointed me quite a lot. Not sure if overly fried or reheated but were harder like stones.
A cozy and warm pub to have some time to enjoy a drink and eat something. I was welcomed with a giant variety of drinks, and although I asked for a recommendation nobody gave me any. I ended up getting a pint of the most common beers, at least I know it will taste good. We ordered some dishes and we were happy when we receive them. The look of the dishes was outstanding, although to my taste they needed just a little bit o seasoning to be perfect. Overall a good experience and certainly a place to visit again.
The atmosphere is chilled, there's a great selection of drinks and the food was 10/10, particularly the tater tots! The menu isn't massive but that just means they do what is on there well.
31/10/22: Happy Halloween! Came for tea before seeing The Shawshank Redemption at The Lowry. Been here a few times before. Always a great choice of craft ales. The food was amazing too. We chose the Hunter Chicken Burgers & fried and drank Brightside Brewing: Freyja pale ale, 3.8% and Dockyard Brewery: Graveyard pale, 3.8%. Since launching in 2013, The Dockyard has become the life and soul of Media City UK. With a real passion for beer, The Dockyard offers an unrivalled selection of craft ales, beers and ciders from all over the world. The team is passionate about what they do, so whether you’re looking for a particular style of beer, wine or soft drink, you’re going to get the best service and drink to suit you. In Summer, there was The Shack MCUK, the summer pop up bar! Located just on the grassland opposite the front door, The Shack was Media City’s answer to a Mediterranean beach. From DJ’s, to acoustic acts and full bands, The Dockyard hosts live music evening every Thursday from 8pm, which is free entry!
This place is right outside my building for uni so I imagine many an evening over the next year will be spent here.. and many a pound too! A little bit expensive but not too bad if you go for very standard drinks. I haven’t eaten here but would be interested in doing so if I came to watch the football or hadn’t eaten, I think. Excited to see what the Shuffleboard tournaments are like!
Great location in the heart of Media City with plenty of space to sit. Has a nice outside area for when its warmer. Enjoy some super ales on tap and many other drink options.
