Dont think much of the lighting... i prefered the "green" glow outside! LOVE MARIA THOUGH! 1994.....p.s .dont call her marie!
Lively pub, wide age spectre, live band on that where half decent, started at the venue for food dont bother, thats another review on its own. Then, the dickens intended on doing the rounds of cleveleys, but after a quick visit to a couple other places, then went back to the Dickens sharpish for rest of the night.
Good selection of drinks but can become really packed. Decently priced though
Large inside. Plenty of seating very near prom town shops and car parks. Several TVs with sports showing. Dog friendly as well.
This is a locals pub. Drinks aren't nearly as cheap as weatherspoons. There is a pool table, darts and screens for football. I think this pub gas a music licence or at least it used to. No food served. It is what it is.
Excellent pub, covers all the live sport on TV, had a very nice pint of Timothy Taylor served by lovely bar staff.
Nice place don't think they serve food but not 100% sure
Great pub for Watching Sports and Prices are very reasonable Too great friendly Staff worth a visit Cheers
Visited this establishment through 2021 and 22. Sampled prior to COVID also. Since under new management there appears to be a new chap on the scene called Craig who is untrained and holds no license Kelly the licensee does . Mr Craig appears to possess delusions if grandeur , believing himself to be the mouthpiece of Craft Union , aggressive , loud and running the place into the ground with his inssesant desire to intervene in every conversation and bar patrons left right and centre. Very clickynpub that is uninviting to newcomers albeit Kelly tries hard to maintain the standards of olde. This pub is now under the management of a bald bearded aggressive loud muscle man who runs the pub through intimidation. Food hunters will be equally disappointed as crisps, scratchings and nuts are the only fayre on offer here. Perhaps Mr Craig had a hand in the now defunct kitchen. The icing on the cake is the usual and frequent fighting errupting out of this den of inequity due to young drinkers taking that one too many. No worries though, Craig is on hand to punch a few more. This is truly an awful place and craft union really need to get a grip of the management such that a return to the decent standards of pre violence is reborn Sorry 1 star EDIT, AUG, 2022 Here I am readers, to provide the much anticipated and I have to say, requested update to my visit to Mr Craig's den of iniquity. So, we popped into this hovel to frequent this black box of doom and grief, and to our amazement the conversation revolved around the current 'barred' count from Mr Craig who was overly impressed with his dismissal of over 40 patrons this year, for crimes ranging from speaking negatively regarding Tottenham Hotspur to more serious infractions such as joining in with the consuming of illegal substances on the dashboard of a range rover. Is it his, I don't know but will caress because all the gossip is that Mr Craig won't be around much longer given that the wonderful Kelly has also had enough of him and sought to manage a pub in garstang , without Mr Craig there. How will the Dickens survive with Me Craig in situ, he will surely bar more patrons than lick the windows on a Sunday morning, and without a license or agreement from Craft Union how will he survive. I hope this sorry state of sff5 doesn't get to the hands of craft union , gosh what WILL they think when they discover Mr Craig's rundown of the pub. Having said this, the drink range is varied and price point is reasonable. Decor is cosy and some splattered attempts to get the pub "going". A credit to all the bar staff who work tirelessly under the watchful Draconian bully Mr Craig So All in all Still a clicky place folks and, better elsewhere. Doubtless the handful of locals still keep the reviews positive, until craft union find out what's really under the hood
Best pub in cleveleys good value and fantastic staff
