Excellent place for a Wetherspoons pub and I experienced something that's been rare for me, i was actually served a decent pint of real ale possibly for the first time ever in a spoons pub. It proves that you can actually get a decent beer from this franchise, so if the Jolly Tars can do it why can't all the others! The look and feel of the var is quite cosy and a pleasant surprise. It's far enough away from the main Blackpool tourist area to not attract the wrong types and the clientele was mature making a good ambience. The food menu was the same as all the other spoons pubs and was served promptly and was nice. If travelling by tram jump off at the Cleverley stop and it's about a 5 minute walk away.

Superb cosy wetherspoons with beautiful fire and booths could of stayed all day .

Visited here Sunday lunchtime last week and was so impressed. Probably the cleanest and most efficient Wetherspoons we.  have been in. The staff were on top of their job, not only clearing tables as soon as they became available but giving them a good wipe as well. The bar staff made sure queues were kept to a minimum, doubling up when required. The drinks and food that we had were of excellent quality. Would definitely recommend and will visit again.

Absolutely exceptional festive turkey dinner at Wetherspoons. Tender turkey, perfectly cooked trimmings, great value, and prompt service even when busy. The staff work very hard and deserve praise. Highly recommended!

We were a bit giddy on a Monday morning after completing a task that had caused a problem for a few weeks.nnSo we treated ourselves to a visit to a 'Spoons we hadn't been inside before and had breakfast plus free refills on the coffee and tea.nnIt was at around 11:45hrs and the place was buzzing.nA grey, wet and miserable day outside with a warm fire burning, surrounded by two groups of older gents chatting and discussing the newspaper articles, some with hot drinks and the odd pint between them.nnA mixture of age groups inside but the majority being of the older generation - like ourselves but there were also some young people mixed into the customer base too.nnI had a view of the 'pass' from the kitchen where the food was literally flying out to the tables.nnWe still don't know what the original building was before it became a Wetherspoons, I forgot to look it up when we got back home nnRecommended and we will definitely revisit the Jolly Tars.
