Quick friendly service. Bar staff were amazing. On a busy Sunday afternoon with 2 children in tow, we were able to find a table for us all. Everything you need is on the table. Order at the bar. We opted for 2 children's meals, and we adults shared the meat platter. All food was good, typical chain pub food. Quick, easy, and efficient. The kids had no issues with the meals, with plenty of choice to mix and match different items. The meat platter was great, particularly the lamb shank and rack of ribs. Cheap and cheerful, this is an amazing place to grab some grub and a cheaper price to alternative restaurants. The bar staff were amazing, making sure everything was running smoothly, being the main point of ordering, etc. I mainly appreciate the section dedicated to over 18s only. This keeps the family-friendly side of the restaurant as its own place. Will return in the future Parking: About 20 spots disabled spaces Kid-friendliness: Over 18s section clearly sign posted Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp up to door with disabled parking spaces with plenty of room
To be honest it was a lovely experience, quiet, calm atmosphere, good was decent value at £11.99 for 2 meals, service was quick and friendly. The only thing I would say is please put the chair with the ripped and missing fabric in the bin. It's a right state overall a lovely lunchFood: 5/5
The Golden Eagle has got to be one of the best Greene Kings. Eaten here a few times while staying in Clevleys. The food is excellent . The steaks are lovely and cooked to perfection and the staff are so helpful and polite. Thankyou very much.Food: 5/5
Service was fast and done with a smile.The place is clean with a good atmosphere.I had the xl mixed grill and was cooked to perfection.My good lady had the sirloin and again was cooked perfectly.The portions where big and the price was good.Our new go to place...cannot fault it in any way.Recommended dishesSauce
I was so relieved when we first found this pub, finally guaranteed a good steak to be cooked to perfection, the food service and atmosphere were perfect, until the chef had left a few weeks back, now replaced, well.. the food is completely rubbish, less on your plate, the quality of steak is terrible, garden peas are so dry I didn't think it possible. My partner had a mix grill, the only food on his plate that he had a good comment for was chicken, he left the steak, as did my daughter, gammon had no flavour etc.. I don't think i need to say much more on the food. The new staff aren't as good. What's happened? Has this pub changed hands?? Parking: Great for parking
Great food and service. Disappointed though as we made a table booking online for the 24th of May and was then called to be told we aren't taking table bookings because of some sort of festival. Why have the option online then?Food: 5/5
Fabulous atmosphere, great food. Staff are friendly and very welcoming especially Sophie & Callum. Fun quiz on a Thursday. What more could you want!Food: 5/5
Ordered food and drinks at 7:15pm, drinks came but got to 8pm and still no food so decided to leave after a 45 minute wait. Was incredibly busy and loud probably due to the pub quiz so can’t really fault that but the guy doing the quiz had the music blaring out and kept turning it up so you couldn’t even have a conversation. Would have moved but all the other tables were busy. Had a dog at the table next to us that kept coming over and sniffing. Noticed one waitress working she seemed to be serving all the tables. What a waste of money :/
Visit regular when visiting parents food normally good for money , Sunday 5th May was not so atrocious food flat breads not served as usual cold meat drowning in barbecue sauce in a pot please veg burger bread hard in general hardly any food on plates.Then we think customers going into kitchen shouting complaining with staff . Waste of money .
Great food the sizzling platter was amazing staff where also great only down side was to much pepper on the steaks from the kitchen over powered the steak itselfFood: 4/5
