An amazing afternoon in the garden, on the one decent day this year. The lovely lunch, drinks and service. An amazing place, that you simply must try out. Great food, service and value for money. I'm a huge fan of this place, and so will you be, if you give it a chance Service: 5/5
We have been here several times and all the staff are lovely and the food is to die for. Amazing Steaks great Burgers and the best Sunday Roast for miles. The pub is in a beautiful location and has a stunning outside area for when the sun is shining. Keep up the great works guys. Service: 5/5
Absolutely beautiful hotel, bar and food. We have been going for over 3 years. The owner is so accommodating and the food is always delicious. The staff are again always so polite and helpful and just nice. I would recommend this to place to anyone. It’s a best kept secret in Somerset! Rooms: Very comfy, clean and just relaxing Safety: Everything is there to see if any problems Food & drinks: Foods always so delicious. Always a good selection of drinks. Noteworthy details: It’s very quiet. Always clean. The staff are so accommodating and will get you anything you need for your stay in reason! Never had an issue here. Love staying. Spread the word. We need to help keep these family owned businesses open.
We went for Sunday lunch, 4 of us , we booked a table in advance, we were shown straight to our table on arrival, we were not pushed but given time to choose and chat, orders were taken and waiting time short , the food was excellent, fine dining at its best, you certainly can't go wrong eating there. We were made to feel welcome and not hurried after our meal, thank you Devonshire for a lovely Sunday lunch, Book up and go , you won't be disappointed, there is a service charge added to your bill but it is discretionary, so you can ask for it to be removed , we did not having really enjoyed ourselves
Absolutely stunning pub in a stunning village. We were a little early for a business meeting, so went for a drive and stumbled across this beautiful place, so decided to grab a quick bite to eat. Food was beautiful. Staff were fantastic. Definitely be going back for an overnight stay next time we are down Thank you again and see you soon.
Fantastic Hotel restaurant and pub. We were staying there for the second time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The food was excellent the room was very well appointed and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful highly recommended.Rooms: 5/5
A lovely warm cozy pub with amazing staff and exceptional food. 5 of us had a birthday meal and every single course served to all of us was amazing. So fresh, so flavoursome and left you wanting another! Yes it’the cheapest in the area but if you want the best food and service it’s worth the extra cash. Well done team we will be back soon.

They kindly did fit us in very last minute on Easter Sunday after our lunch booking elsewhere was cancelled. There were no vegan options on the menu that day, which was a surprise, and a shame. However, they created something from their usual menu for me and it was delicious, especially the spiced bean cake for starters, which had a kind of tasty, light, tempura batter. The rest of my party all enjoyed their meals too. Would recommend but also request some more veggie/ vegan options
We had a lovely lunch here as always. Staff were very attentive without being intrusive. Cozy atmosphere with log fire burning. Good choice on the menu with great selection of mains and some of the old pub favourites to choose from. I have been going to The Devonshire for many years and have never been disappointed. You get what you pay for... Quality ingredients prepared by a chef who cares about his food and pays great attention to detail. Then delivered to the table by pleasant professional waiting staff who know what they are doing and do it well. A pleasure!
