Lovely looking place, asked for a well done bacon and sausage sandwich. She then proceeded to get already cooked bacon and sausage and put it in the microwave. Also smelt of Patrington old people's home pre and post world war 2. Tomato sauce was OKFood: 3/5
My husband and I enjoyed a full English breakfast here today. The service was great with very pleasant staff. The atmosphere was very friendly and the food was delicious and served HOT. A lovely experience.Food: 5/5
We entered the building and waited to be served at the seated area. A young girl sat us and a young chap cleared the table but left the table sticky. 15 minutes passed as we waited for any interaction from staff, we hadn't received a menu. The young staff continued to walk by and no one approached or spoke to us, they were continuing to seat people with menus. We got up and walked out right past the young lady who first seated us but she said nothing as we left. We proceeded to the local bakery where we bought a sandwich Staff need commutation training, it was poor.
Have been here a few times. Last time my piece of cake was fairly stale having been on the top of the counter uncovered..possibly for quite a while. Previous time, a couple of weeks ago, the Assistant was telling her colleague how she had been sacked from previous job! Not a good thing to do in front of customers??
Quiet, cosy and friendly. This deli is first class, most of all it's dog friendly which gets extra points! Malton is known for its food, however this deli has not succumbed to the commercialisation or mass marketing. It serves well made food which is very good value for money. We had various melts which were generous, cheesy and fresh, the platter for two was huge and beautifully presented. Gluten free options are good and certainly more varied than other places. Great for families, including doggos and quick, friendly and courteous service are a refreshing change. There is also a small deli shop section that sells a range of quality produce to take home. All in all a great place for lunch.
Popped into the shop this afternoon to simply to buy a packet of crisps. Served by a very surly girl who promptly short changed me ! Not discovered till I got home, should have checked. Really not impressed.Service: 1/5

Dog friendly, friendly staff dog got fussed and a free sausage Had breakfast. Wasn’t amazing but also wasn’t bad. Little pricey for what we got but I’d recommend a visit to any tourists in the area.
My husband and I had lunch in the Deli on Saturday last. We did have quite a wait. But expect that when food is cooked to order. No problem. While we were waited we ordered a tea and coffee. I always like hot water with my tea. So when it didn't arrive I asked the waitress if I could have hot water. She seemed confused and repeated my request "hot water?" yes thank you. Again "hot water?" Yes boiling water please. The tea was very good. I asked her what brand you used. Again she looked confused, and said in a very off hand way "I don't know". Okay. So she just walked away, didn't say she would ask. I felt foolish. So the food arrived 30 + mins My shepherd pie was lovely. The tiny amount of veg one broccoli floret, 3 small carrot's arrived stone cold. My husband was not to happy with his meal. But I think he just ordered the wrong meal. The Gyros wasn't as authentic, as he's used too. Pitta bread and separate french fries. Beetroot on the side. We waited at the counter for quite a while bill. We were ignored. Eventually I got someones attention. Such a shame. I saw some amazing sandwiches. The service was very sub standard for such a nice venue.
