The Deep in Hull is a really enjoyable place to visit. The building looks impressive as you walk up to it, and inside there’s a nice mix of big tanks, tunnels and smaller displays, so you get plenty of time to watch the fish, sharks and rays. It feels clean, well cared for and easy to get around. You can easily spend a couple of hours there without feeling rushed, and it works well for both adults and kids. The café and gift shop are a good extra at the end. It’s not the cheapest attraction, but as a day out it’s interesting, memorable and definitely worth a visit if you’re in Hull.
A lovely experience and one of the best aquariums we've been to. There's lots to see and we easily passed 2.5 hours here. Lovely educational experience with a significant focus on the environment and climate change. Would be great if they did day passes as it's unlikely we would travel up from the midlands to visit more regularly. So i'd say pricing is the only thing that could be better.
What a fantastic aquarium! It’s very rare you see such a well themed aquarium especially one that boasts penguins!! Could sit and watch them all day. Big open spaces and easy for wheelchairs. It even has a scenic lift inside of one of the tanks! Unique, educational and well thought out.
Our first visit to The Deep, we were lucky and visited about 12.30 on a Monday it wasn't too busy at all, it was not a school holiday. Entry price was £24 per adult, for a yearly pass. Parking was easy £4.50 for 5 hours. The exhibits were wonderful there's lots of places you can sit and watch the fish. We spent 2.5hrs there. We enjoyed one of the talks about the fish the staff are very approachable and willing to answer your questions. The only thing I didnt like was the penguin enclosure. I think this could be improved. We definitely cant wait to visit again.
The aquarium is visually stunning with plenty of information and informative games for child and adult alike.nnThe food was good and plenty to offer with a very clean and well looked after cafe, the staff were friendly.nnWe had lost a ted on the way round from one of the kids and the staff were nice enough to let us back in to look for it.
