My dog is groomed there. Mike is brilliant. My dog looks lovely when I collect him. Staff are lovely. Would recommend to everyone.
This is one of the best pet shops I’ve ever stumbled across. Came to Acomb after someone recommending I check out this pet shop, the amount of different pet supplies they sell is excellent. The live pets they sell seem really well cared for too. I purchased 2 giant African land snails from here and they are thriving. A great place for supplies for pets big and small. I’ll be back!
I love this place, staff are so friendly and helpful. I have mobility issues and when our dog was getting groomed, he was collected and brought back to us. Very helpful, worth a try if you need a pet shop, pet groomed or fishing suplies.
Unsure how this place has so many good reviews considering the state the animals they sell are kept in. The animal enclosures are unclean and absolutely do not comply with current welfare standards within the UK. Rats kept in glass tanks incredibly dangerous for respiratory systems Hamsters kept in groups these are a solitary species in tiny tanks without so much as a wheel, water bottles are green. Absolutely depressing atmosphere for these animals to be in.
When getting our crested gecko the staff were so friendly and the store had a decent amount of things to choose for our new pet. Only problem is that they are not good at giving advice at all, we had to do so much research in order to keep our Gecko alive, they really had no idea what they were really talking about and labed it as "very easy and low maintenance" when it requires so so much more. Nice store, just don't trust their advice.

I found the staff to be friendly and knowledgeable, the selection for such a small place never ceases to amaze. The highlight for me was when I was trying to work out if it would be feasible to take away a set up and axolotl I was flat refused the sale as it wouldn't be safe for the animal. Utmost confidence with these guys, left with a beaut of a white knee tarantula and can't wait to go back in future.
