Reading reviews I expected better. It was the Easter holidays and they had Easter egg hunts and other bits on. Not as pretty as I had hoped and not much to do. Maybe ok for young children around 4 or 5 but I think others will get bored.

Wow! We stumbled across this while we were out and about. It's one of the best historic houses we have been to. The coffee shop was great and the journey up the drive was awesome - you can fully appreciate the grandness of the house. The guides were amazing and gave lots of interesting facts about the history of the house.

We visited over Easter and did the Easter hunt, kids enjoyed running around the grounds which were very beautiful and well kept, we didn't go inside the hall as this would have made it an expensive day out and the kids wouldn't have appreciated it so it would have been a waste of money. Overall a good day and would be nice to go during summer.

Wonderful country house and griunds. The house itself is full of treasures of furniture and scientific material collected by the Constable family over many years. The cafe is also great!

Visited the cafe for coffee and a hot chocolate on the way home, probably cost a little more than an ordinary little cafe but the drinks where great tasting and the surroundings clean and pleasant. Staff where friendly. Also had a stroll and a nosey around the stables and the clock tower, nothing spectacular but a nice way to pass an hour or so.
