This place is getting there, they are doing live music which is great and the menu is improving. The one thing which they get absolutely right is the service, the staff there are great fun, which if you often go for the solo dining experience, feeling welcome is important - and they certainly made me feel welcome! The new chefs are doing good things in the kitchen and the venison that was on special when I visited was spot on - and some kind of vegetable parcel thing with ham in, whatever it was - it was delicious. The highlight was the dessert which was a chocolate and orange cake with these really nice orangey bits in. A good visit and will enjoy trying out the new menus and specials as they come out.

Nice pub. Food not great and not a lot of choice. I believe this has now closed.

Staff were lovely but was not impressed with my food. Firstly it was forgotten and then it was too raw inside. Everyone has there own preference but won't eat there again sorry.
