Lovingly put together pub, a tucked away gem. Really celebrates local, seasonal produce. We had whelks and Romney marsh lamb and it was all cooked to perfection. Get there early and put your name down for a table as they don’t take bookings for less than 8 people.
Good pub with menu. A pot of tea can be bought for just £1.50 If you don't fancy an alcoholic drink. No parking as its in the old town. Nearest car park is near the beach front.
Great food and exceptional selection of beers only dropping a star due to the slightly limited menu....
Completely covid safe, we were well attended by staff and I could not fault the delishious menu. Some unusual dishes but it was nice not to be forced into eating fish as in most other eateries in the town. The atmosphere was vibrant but not too loud. I will definitely be coming back!
Rarely goes without incident. This time table at the rear by toilets with Xmas tree hanging over half the table even though we booked. Moved to another table. Starters turned up luke warm. I keep trying with this place yet keep being disappointed with service and sometimes food. Food was very tasty on this occasion though.
I mean - there is literally nothing not to love here! We had late lunch - 2-330pm- drinks , shared 3 small plates including mushroom dumplings which honestly was one of the most autumniest sorry spelling and grammar nerds! delicious thing we’ve had in a long time. Need to book though !
