The Sunday Roast was absolutely delicious. Our server Ben was such a lovely fella, he was so friendly and courteous and a joy to chat with. The Pub has a nice cozy atmosphere, we found the Sunday Roast to be very well priced. And if we lived in Hastings, we would definitely make it a point to eat there often on a Sunday. If you are ever in Hastings, stop in and grab a bite or a drink and see Ben....his such a lovely young man.
Just had lunch at the Anchor Inn with my wife. I had the steak fajitas which were cooked to perfection and tasted great. My wife had the salmon and haddock chowder which smelt amazing and tasted even better. The staff were very friendly and attentive but not hovering beside you. All in all a very pleasant experience
Reserved a table for Sunday lunch really lovley dinner with good friendly service would highly recommend.
What a complete Gem. Located in Hastings Old Town. Friendly welcoming staff and amazing home made meals. Phoned up and booked a table last minute which they kindly accommodated and are dog friendly, allowing our French bulldog to come too. Thank you
Nice people and a lovely pint. Open fire and comfy seats. Can’t really go wrong
We went to this pub on Sunday 12th February 2023, one of our group is disabled and uses a wheelchair, we were stopped at the door when entering and told we couldn't come as her wheelchair would be in the way. This upset our friend, not because there was no room but in the way we were spoken too. Kindness goes along way.
Huge thank you to the staff for saving our lunch with emergency toddler entertainment. Wonderful hearty home cooked food, cosy and relaxed ambiance and very reasonably priced. We will always be coming back.
Been past lots of time's and finally decided to go in earlier this week, and had a lovely meal so took my friends back today and pleased to say it was just as good. The food ,drink and staff where great what more would you want
Great pub,, lovely atmosphere with great staff and really good food especially sunday roast.
The Anchor Inn is magical! An instant homely feel with a relaxed and warm welcome from the staff. The food is home cooked with no fuss, a fair price and generous sized portions. There is a large ancient looking open fire stacked high with chopped logs, and lots of cozy corners in the pub to enjoy good food, good company and the warm atmosphere. This is a home from home!
