Small, warm country pub with good beers and basic but clean toilets.  The owner/landlord is very clear that he will not let you use the facilities unless you personally a customer - so, in our large group of walkers there were a number of us who were not permitted to use the toilets - which is a little strange given that we had put quite a bit of money behind the bar.  Given that ladies do not find toiletting so easy as men I found this a little ungenerous.

Quaint little pub with log fires and serves food on Sunday. Very cosy inside and lots of outside seating, could do with a tidy up outside though.

Interesting country pub which seems to be in need of a lot of TLC but the danger is that it would change its character. I only had a drink so I can't comment on the food. The location is ideal for exploration of Macclesfield Forest, Shutlingsloe, Wildboar Clough and their environs.

Once again, another good lunch, this time with both of the we'ans. Food good, tasty, and hot. Drinks on offer locally brewed and good. It's the sort of place where you can get to meet and chat with your hosts, as well. Next addition is some overnight accommodation, so here's hoping everything goes well in bringing this to fruition! Thanks for today, folks 😀😀
