Super friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Wonderful settings for outside dining when the weather is right! As the weather has been so foul, they had a real fire going. Food good, basic pub grub with a few differences. They have a child's menu and good vegan options.

Lovely, quaint country pub; good for children and families; artistic setting. Impressive reception. Polite, professional and hardworking staff; we visited on Mothers Day but chose another venue. I noticed the staff could not not have worked any harder than they were and the brewery should take note of this fact. I took the opportunity to take photos before I left; my last visit in this pub was about 30 years ago when it was a pub on a canal but it has changed in to a gastropub and is clearly very popular. My personal score is 8/10.

Beautiful garden and pub. The food looked delicious, but unfortunately we weren't able to get any due to the waiting time being two hours. The bar service was slow and not very friendly.

Just...dreadful! This used to be a reasonable venue, will never return. Impossible to justify charging £6.50 for two slices of stale, slightly warmed brown bread with a meagre slice of ham that did not cover 50% of the bread with a miniscule amount of melted cheese. Coupled with a dirty table and glass..... Having waited 20 minutes for that offering...we left. There was no-one behind the bar to complain to...just about says it all! (Is it possible to award half a star?)

I had to go back to visit as my grandmother ran this pub then called the fisheries. Way back in early 1900s + my fathers bedroom. Was the one on rhe back to the left he was youngest of 15 children. The Fisheries was the building on the left (back view) the right side had been extended. I used to walk up there with my father when tiny I am now 78.
