Wonderful pub located near the Bank of England. A very large pub with two levels and multiple rooms for private functions. It has Lots of different Beers, ales and spirits to choose from. Food was terrific with lots to choose from. Service was friendly and fast. Hotel rooms are very comfortable with prices that are pretty reasonable for the city of London. Can be very busy during the week.
Was told a couple of months ago that they weren’t doing table/area reservations in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Got there a week before Christmas and half the tables had been reserved. Managed to get a table by hanging around and jumping on a table when it became free. No cocktails just basics offered beer/spirits/wine. Didn’t try the food. The building/space itself was very nice. Staff were pleasant.
Great place to stay while in/near The City of London. The rooms are well appointed and comfy though there was a weird vibration that started every morning ~7:30am that could be felt in the corner of the room and bathroom. Access to the pub below is down some stairs or through the lift if you want to go outside. I had a reservation mixup when booking my stay and trying to get it resolved with the nighttime staff different time zones was not possible, I'm almost confused why the night staff even answers the phone if they're just going to tell you to call in the morning. The included breakfast in the morning is pricey but they have a good selection of food to order as well as a small selection of laid out food stuffs.
We hired The Counting House as our wedding reception venue. We were looking for a pub with character in central London and preferably some rooms for travelling family to stay in and the Counting House really fit the bill. There were a few communication issues before the wedding as a lot of the info in the paperwork seems out of date and the seating plan was not accurate. Nevertheless, Gladys, Richard and the team at the CH were always great to work with and everything went smoothly on the day. Many of our guests commented on how lovely all the staff were and the pies went down well! The rooms in the hotel are also excellent. Thanks again for hosting our wedding, we’ll be sure to pop in for a pint again soon.
We privatised the whole venue for our wedding and it was an amazing day. The staff was really nice and helpful. Except for a few miss communications between the main office & the venue it was just perfect. Our guests had a great time and complemented us a lot on the venue - which is stunning! Thanks again to the whole team for this magical day and especially to Richard who has been here the whole day, keeping an eye on everything.
The hotel is near the tube station. The bed is comfortable. We love the washroom but the towel/ dress dryer was not working. We appreciated that they provide items like the coffee, tea, water, and that they were flexible on the breakfast schedule. The pub, Fuller’s, is highly recommended! Great food and accommodating staff. The challenge we had during check in was about the instructions provided to us over the phone about the location. It was confusing so we had to walk for more than 30 minutes around the area while carrying our luggages, but Egle apologized for it and made sure we had a comfortable stay.
3 stars for the interior, 2 stars for the service. Kitchen opened at noon. First two choices were not available. Settled for Welsh Rarebit which was quite tasty, and my sister settled for what turned out to be the smallest meat pie known to man. There seemed to be a lot of staff behind the bar, only 1 of whom appeared to know what they were doing.
Great pub not too far from Liverpool Street station. It serves a great selection of beers, spirits and wine. Staff are friendly and welcoming and very attentive. Food is good too.Rooms: 5/5
Nice little pub. Ex-bank built in the late 1800s, the room is quite attractive. Typical Fuller’s pub menu of drinks and food, done quite well. Had an enjoyable visit and will come again when in the area. Beware though - closed on Sundays despite what Google Maps says!
The Counting House was an excellent venue for our wedding reception. The pub itself and rooms above are characterful and cosy. We were always well looked after by everyone on site and we'd recommend it as a private hire space to anyone.Rooms: 5/5
