This is one of those little country gems everyone that visits will definitely be back. Lovely pub, food good quality at reasonable prices. Good selection of beers and you can even camp next door in the summer.

Enjoyed a 3 night stay in our campervan. Very nice setting next to the canal with spacious pitches and a great pub with nice food and particularly great staff. The only let down for us was the toilet /shower facilities. Even on the closest pitch to the facilities, it's a bit of a trek down a very pot holey and unlit road and the facilities were very basic. We couldn't get hot water from the shower for love nor money and ended up having cold showers. They are situated right next to the pub so when you emerge from the shower, you're walking past people drinking in the outside seating area. The ladies toilets are the smallest I've ever seen. There was no phone signal in the area which made keeping in touch with family difficult. Beautiful breakfast in the pub and a very informal /casual feel to the site. Probably wouldn't go again due to the showers and lack of signal but a very nice place all the same.
