Hard to assess this because a few things were good, and a few things just out of place. There were a few large groups in when I arrived and they were clearly having a nice time. Was that because of the service or just the groups themselves? I was left to stand by the door for a minute or two on my arrival. Two waiters looked at me, but neither seemed to want to move from their spot where they were preparing table decorations. A lady then came to ask if I was ok (a question I always find odd when I've walked in to a restaurant where the most likely thing I would like is a table either just for me or others to join). I was taken to the table at the back of the restaurant. The waiters were seemingly being very attentive to the larger groups but again were not looking around for anyone else's attention. I had to lean out into the walkway to be seen and make it clear I was needing attention / ready to order. I ordered a house (Jahl curry) special and some sides orders. I was brought a complimentary, but cold and almost soggy poppadom. There was a crack to it, but not a freshly cooked one. I think I got someone else's leftover. The curry, rice, tarka dal, bindi and garlic naan arrived and placed on some hot plates put on my table. The bindi was tasty, a bit oily but for my taste had too much paste on it and less of the taste of the bindi was possible. The dal was akin to a puree. An ok taste but completely the wrong texture for my liking and switfly became a dipping sauce for my naan. The naan was great. Large, fluffy and light. Really positive, and whilst a bit sad that it was this item, it was the best thing on my table. The curry was their spicy special (I like my chilli). It was nicely hot without being fahl level, too hot and hard to eat. Perfectly ok for me spice wise, but I'm sure strong enough for anyone else. Some large pieces of chicken were enjoyed but still left with a bowl of sauce, so maybe the balance a bit off. Finally the rice was tasty, but swimming in oil which I only spotted at the end. Shame. Again I had to lean out to be seen for the bill, and the staff then swooped in to try and clear my table. The final act of the waiters was to walk to open the front door (just the inner door) for me. After an evening of being almost ignored, it just felt wrong. Food ok. Staff have mixed attention levels and strange behaviour for different moments. Go and buy a naan to just take it with you, and maybe leave some of the other bits behind. Average price but a few things probably a bit on the expensive side.

The food was decently priced and absolutely delicious!! Service was a bit strange though.. All of the dishes and cutlery were extremely hot and they didn't warn us. One of the staff members only used the word spices to describe a dish. A staff member paced up and down the aisle beside our table when it began nearing closing time.. I guess they really wanted us to leave. Hot towels were nice. The food was excellent though!!

Laat week i ordered a chicken madras and it was anything but a madras. Gave them the benefit of the doubt as a one off. This week they didnt put my chicken jhal in very poor ended up with a refund never go back!
