As with many Wetherspoons establishment there's plenty of real ale choice for very reasonable prices.nnHowever, unless you are there on a lively Friday or Saturday assuming, it is so large that I would call it soulless.nnQuality of the decor, furnishings and toilets etc are excellent though.
Absolutely ridiculous experience with staff.nPoorly trained and arrogant.nI’ve been there with my sister and three kids, ordered breakfast. They come to say they don’t have eggs, then they have eggs but not poached. I’ve waited more than 40 minutes to get an egg and bacon muffin in the end, and somehow they managed to burn half of it.nAlso they didn’t had milk for coffee.nnI feel I’ve been cheated as I paid for poached eggs and got a tiny muffin which I ended up eating it outside as the kids couldn’t stay that long. They finished 20 mins before they brought my dish
Typical mid week lunch time early dinner.nOrdered double burger and chips. I think my £1 coin was bigger and the chips were meh! No should I have expected more? Theses are adult sizes. Meals
We were staying not too far from this spoons and wanted to add this one to the list. The food was a little cold on arrival but was nice. The toilets are upstairs, and the women need a good clean. The other half said the men's toilet was absolutely disgusting. Staff were rushed but friendly enough. It's a very short walk to the centre and lots of free parking around.
Pretty bog standard wetherspoons with solid pub grub, lovely staff and service alongside a bustling market town atmosphere. Good for a stop if you're looking for cheap food and drinks in the area.
