Authentic Italian with extremely good pizza and great atmosphere. Lovely staff and we definitely will be back.
I think this is now called or was called Franco's. Regardless, tight compact and intimate. Not much space but that enhanced the whole experience. Warm comfortable, great atmosphere with happy and pleasant staff. All very busy, with lots of 'happy' noise around the place. Conversations and laughter everywhere. Quick service for drinks with a lovely pizza option menu. I didn't look at the pasta or main menu although there were clearly daily specials available including scallops, gurnard, cod etc. Pizza beautifully prepared and cooked We had the Hawaiian and the seafood one pizza di mare. Ample toppings and both were superb. I'd forgotten how good authentic flat based, oven baked pizza really is. Recommend this as a really lovely, slow paced in a busy restaurant experience.
I'm sure if your taste in Italian food is limited to pizza then this place is fine but if your taste is more adventurous than a 5 year old you will be very dissapointed in this place. Outside of pizza there is hardly any choice and the few pasta dishes they do make they make pretty badly. I ordered a seafood pasta which was suppposed to be tomato sauce but the sauce had the viscosity of minestroni soup and tasted of nothing but black pepper. Really and truthfully this place should be advetised as a Pizzeria and not an Italian restuarant because it really isn't. I feel my review has been slightly over generous too.
Absolutely blew my bloody socks off. The food here is amazing, service was great too. The lamb cutlets and lightly battered fresh sea bass was some of the best food I have had in a long time. If I could give more than five starts I would.
Very mixed impressions of this place. The service of the owner was very pleasant and the rest of the staff plodded and did their job without really engaging much at all. There was 6 in our group, 3 being veggies. The choices on the menu were ok but not massively varied. A couple of the dishes were really basic including the meatballs and the spaghetti. To the point you could have rustled up that type of quality quickly at home which was disappointing, as your looking for something different when you eat out. Good drinks wine menu and the stock Peroni on offer. There was a guy playing the guitar intermittently throughout the evening which was pleasant. There is an outside space to dine also. We heard good things about this place and was rather disappointed on the evening unfortunately.
The food is fantastic, the staff are friendly and polite. Bei g family run, it has a cosy feel and nothing is too much trouble. Our o ly regret is that we fou d it at the e d of our holiday and not the start, we still managed two visits. Highly recommended for great Italian dining, prepared by a truly talented chief.
A fabulous restaurant in Teignmouth. Lizzie takes great pride in describing the dishes and selection of wines. Franco takes great pleasure in preparing it to absolute perfection. There's never any hurry. Nothing is too much trouble. A thoroughly recommended restaurant for an excellent evening.
A small family run restaurant with real Italian cooking. The food was good. Very crowded and therefore very slow service. Live guitar playing throughout which added to the atmosphere
Had a fantastic meal with my family two weeks ago. The wait staff couldn't do enough for us. If you phone up in advance you can get any Italian dish you want as they can do virtual anything that is Italian or will create it for you.
What a fabulous place and so close to the sea! Authentic Italian food and amazing unusal intalian wines, unrivalled hospitality. Kind enough to make space for us even when fully booked by putting a table outside with blankets to keep warm. Knowledgeable and hospitable staff. Wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often.
