Pub was shut at 6pm on a bank holiday saturday. Nothing on social media or other , no sign on door. Everything dark inside including beer pumps and fridges so obviously not planning to open soon. Disappointing after a miles walk from the canal
Can't give the full review yet, as I was only there for a short while and could not sample the ale as driving. Hope to go back and confirm the last star soon. Very friendly and helpful bar staff, spacious interior with a real fire for those Winter nights closing in.
I love this friendly traditional pub. Food is very good value for money.staff are accomodating. I recently stayed for 3 nights in a lovely en suite room. Clean and a very comfortable bed. Also my dog was allowed to stay in room. Only a short walk from the canal. Highly recommended. My star rating is 4.5
Charming accommodation and delicious food and drink in quaint Yardley Gobion. Lovely family the new owners since March 2021. I stayed four nights in luxurious comfort, very peaceful, slept so well. Booked direct via email; Natasha very welcoming. Charming pub inside, large attractive gardens outside and smiling, friendly family and staff looking after their guests. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner including good vege options. Big screen TVs for the sports fans, but also just a very pleasant tavern for a family meal. Highly recommend this tavern.
Lovly little find. We had the beef roast dinner, I was abit hesitant as beef can be quite hit and miss. But I'm so glad I had it! It was amazing. Great staff, and a lovely park out the back, my little girl like the tree house. Definitely coming back.
Such a shame as I really wanted to support this village pub. Ordered coffee, tea and cake but there was no teapot and the cakes were stale. My white chocolate and strawberry muffin had a mouldy strawberry on the top. They are clearly desperate to get business back through their doors based on our conversation with the Landlord so I sincerely hope that you take this feedback in the spirit its intended and improve food and presentation. If you do I'm sure that your pub will be full of happy punters in no time.
The barmaid was polite and welcoming. The prices for our drinks was quite reasonable. The people in there were quite friendly also gave us directions to were we are going to a wake great community spirit
A very friendly pub; staff very helpful and obliging. Food tasted excellent and the portions were far from small. The cheese and biscuits could almost do 2 people!. I thoroughly recommend this pub / tavern.
First Sunday roast in our local. Very nice food and drink. Fab cheesecake. Great service. What's not to love? Thanks to our new owners!
This pub has so much potential. It was great when I was growing up, now it seems to have a new owner every couple of months
