I've been on a Sunday and had their Ribs and they were meaty, moist and full of flavour. However, recently went on a Sunday and had their Roast chicken and it came out so dry it the breast was cracking. I'm kicking myself that I did not complain and send it back. It was even more embarrassing that we had bought friends with us telling them it was great. This is the reason for the 3 stars. We are going to try their Ribs on their Thursday specials. IF that goes well I'll increase the rating. Staff are OK, can be hit and miss on their friendliness. Also, my son had their full English which was decent. However, Dolce in Ricky does it ever so slightly better.

I haven't been here for years, but the place has expanded with the rear courtyard area extended with more seating and atmospheric lighting. An excellent Sunday roast which, after 6pm was half price, but staff needed reminding twice, otherwise this would be a 5* review. The owner should be congratulated for having consistently improved the interior over the years, as well as providing good quality food...

Excellent Sunday Roasts and very nice beer in a real olde world pub full of character with a real fire in the winter. Highly recommended

The bar to the left as you enter has much more atmosphere than the bar to the right. Decent food and very reasonably priced drinks.

Friendly with excellent choice of craft ales, wine and food! Great outside area in summer-hrater spring and autumn!
